Rule 5 For #IDF @IDFspokesperson

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2014/07/25

There’s a new Facebook page called Standing With IDF that is full of Rule 5. And The Other McCain found it. They’re all about teh Rule 5ive. Lots of women doing the 21st Century version of America’s World War II pin-up girl morale-building campaign.

Musical Rule 5 Blogging

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2012/06/10

It isn’t often that Truth Before Dishonor does any Rule 5 blogging, but I accidentally found some videos that made me decide to do it. And oh, by the way, the fiddler, Linda, is mine. (She just doesn’t know it yet.)

Not all that bad for an all-girls country band from England, right?

How To Get 200 Page Views A Day

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2012/04/04

(Since I have a fold on this article, I’m posting this update at the top.)
Internet searches for Emma Stone account for 1/6 of all hits on this article (which is relatively active for this site), proving the power of Rule 5.

Oops, make that nearly 1 in 4 as of 1224 on 20120405. Proof Rule 5 works.
As of 1540 on 20120405, more than 1 in 3 hits on this unusually active article were a result of my Rule 5 photos of the beautiful young Emma Stone. Need I provide more proof of the wisdome of Rule 5 implanted into your regular articles and in your Tags?

Robert Stacy McCain has a set of rules on how to get one million hits in less than a year. The First Street Journal has made an effort to at least partially follow some of the rules, and is on its way toward 100,000 hits and 200,000 page views in its first year.

The First Street Journal Hits and Page Views

(Note, the above image, taken from Site Meter, will continually change as it is not a pic of the image but a link to it. As of 4:45pm CST, TFSJ had over 1,100 hits and over 2,700 page views for the month around quitting time of the 4th day of the month of April.)

A great many bloggers know about and use Rule 5, which is to show pictures of beautiful women for the purpose of showing pictures of beautiful women (and driving traffic to your site). Read the rest of this entry »

“Speaking as an objective third party outsider with absolutely no interest in the matter…”

Yup, unh hunh.

From Little Miss Attila‘s comment section:

As a casual observer and in no way affiliated with FBT or the Hymer family I really see an axe grinding at this Pillar of the southern California community and his family. This man has tireless preached Christ and his word for decades. Bob the third has followed in this tradition in a lay capacity. Can’t you give it a rest after all these years? Really don’t you have better uses of your time. Thank you.
Dale Drew

7 One last note. I am not R.L.Hymers nor am I affiliated with him or his church. I just want to see you malcontents get on with your life and not make statements that a site built in 2 minutes in notepad is better than a fully functional site. Dale(not Bob)

This “Dale Drew” character has enough contradictions within the first comment, not to mention the outright lies. And the second comment, dated five years earlier and making a similar assertion, proves my Amanda Bynes reference.

I guess I really should thank Chris Cagen “Dale Drew” for causing me to remember the sexy young comedian Amanda Bynes and her words.

Rule 5 By Way Of Rule 1

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/07/06

Or, linking to a big blog (rule 1) that shows a sexy chick in a bikini (rule 5 A and C) so we can laugh at her (rule 5 D).

I’ve actually done the very thing that sexy, bikini-clad girl did. I used a 3-meter springboard “high dive” to pull it off, but I accomplished the exact same thing: A perfect “one and a quarter” dive. I did it a lot. I never learned… how to stop at “one” or how to get to “one and a half”.
