Fast and Furious includes “Grenadewalker”

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/10/14

While the State Department was arming the Zetas drug cartel and ATF and DOJ were arming the Sinaloa drug cartel, the ATF and DOJ were busily allowing grenades and grenade parts to go from the US side, where an American was illegally building them, to the Mexican side, where the drug cartels were busily using them to blow up things in their narco-terrorism campaign.

From Ed Morrissey:

Well, here’s CBS’ Sharyl Attkisson again, being all unreasonable by reporting that the ATF let thousands of grenades cross the border into Mexico at roughly the same time the Mexican drug cartels were using grenades to blow up a casino and kill dozens of people. But hey, it’s not as if they could have stopped Jean Baptiste Kingery, right? Er …

For those who don’t know or don’t remember, Sharyl Attkisson is the CBS reporter whom members of the Obama White House cussed out for reporting on Fast and Furious. The second link in that quote discusses that particular event. But do go on over to Ed Morrissey’s story to watch the video and read the rest of his reporting. It’s very informative. The US Attorney resigned and the Assistant US Attorney, who called the grenade parts “novelty items” and declared it didn’t have enough cache to appeal to jurists (that’s why he refused to pursue criminal charges against Kingery), got transferred.

No, Fast and Furious and all its offshoots have scads of people all up and down multiple departments in the Obama Administration committing crimes, colluding with criminals, aiding and abetting murderous and terroristic criminal activity, and they all should serve sentences appropriate for people who aided and abetted in the murders of over 200 people. But the cover-up and perjury in front of Congress and punishment of whistle-blowers has gobbled up even more top staff in ATF, DOJ, Department of State, White House and beyond. They, too, need to serve prison sentences.

This stuff is reaching critical mass, and even the mainstream media will be unable to keep it from exploding across the electorate as more and more news of the scandal and cover-up, more egregious as it goes, comes to the fore. Many heads will roll, but not enough, and not high enough, I suspect.

Michelle Malkin suggests a new version of the below song needs cut.

Associated Press Calls Out Barack Obama

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/10/10

Barack Obama’s campaign tactic of a “jobs” bill and his continuous dishonest spinning of it is too much for even the Associated Press to carry his water. Ed Morrissey has the story.

Last week, the Associated Press’ fact check of a speech implied that Barack Obama might be losing touch with reality. Today, they make the argument more explicit in reporting on Obama’s push on his new jobs bill. Their headline reads “Obama’s jobs bill sales pitch disconnects rhetoric, reality,” and they take him to task for it (via Rob Port):

When Obama accuses Republicans of standing in the way of his nearly $450 billion plan, he ignores the fact that his own party has struggled to unite behind the proposal.

When the president says Republicans haven’t explained what they oppose in the plan, he skips over the fact that Republicans who control the House actually have done that in detail.

And when he calls on Congress to “pass this bill now,” he slides past the point that Democrats control the Senate and were never prepared to move immediately, given other priorities. Senators are expected to vote Tuesday on opening debate on the bill, a month after the president unveiled it with a call for its immediate passage.

The AP concludes that Obama is campaigning, not governing, which has become painfully obvious ever since his speech to a joint session of Congress a month ago. The bill itself contains a number of poison pills that even his own party rejected in 2009, when Democrats had full control of Washington. In fact, Senate Democrats have had to change the rules to keep Obama’s bill from getting a vote at all, not because Republicans oppose it but because a number of Democrats oppose it as well, at least in the form Obama has been pushing the last four weeks.

When the Chicago Thug is so far out to sea that even the Associated Press refuses to carry water for him, you know he’s definitely gone. It’s getting to the point that the normally sycophantic mainstream media can no longer shill for him and maintain what they believe to be their integrity. What remains of his fawning masses are his ever-thinning ranks of delusional lemmings, which are becoming ever more delusional and ever more lemming as time passes. Obama has an absolutely huge problem of his own making. There is a litany of lies, corruption, collusion, obstruction of justice in his wake.

  • The “jobs” bill and the propaganda that even the press can’t carry.
  • Fast and Furious, involving ATF, DOJ, White House, FBI and others, consisting of over 2,000 guns allowed to be illegally bought (ATF actually illegally selling them to the illegal buyers), illegally walked across the border into Mexico, and over 200 dead bodies on both sides of the border.
  • Punishing the whistle blowers by demoting them, trying to engulf those with integrity with the dirty corruption, promoting those heavily involved in the criminal activity and bringing them closer to the DOJ command center to keep a better watch on them.
  • Lying to Congress, refusing to release documents, providing documents to Congress so heavily redacted as to be of no worth, refusing to allow other members of the departments to testify before Congress.
  • Solyndra, LightSquared, SolarReserve, First Solar, SunPower, the 5 billion dollars in Federal Loan guarantees going out on the very last day of operation, benefiting the Obama campaign contributors and bundlers. And we’re just scratching the surface with these.
  • All manner of other corrupt activity.

Soon, all that will be left of Obama’s delusional lemmings will be only the most delusional of all and the most lemming of all. No reasonable person will be able to carry Obama’s water and still maintain any sense of propriety.

Speaking of lemmings, Rebelpundit has video of Occupy Chicago. (HT Hot Air)

The Fast And Furious “Smoking Gun”

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/09/29

Laura Curtis reports on Hot Air’s recent Fast And Furious article that the ATF sold guns directly to the narco-terrorists and deliberately refused to track them. I previously reported on Fast And Furious and the mainstream media’s reticence to report it for the epic scandal that it is. And I gave a “barely scratching the surface” listing of New Media coverage, showing the New Media has been covering the epic scandal for the epic scandal it is.

Mr Morrissey begins his Hot Air article:

The New York Post’s Michael Walsh wonders when the media outrage will arrive in the aftermath of the disastrous and deadly Operation Fast and Furious. The latest revelation shows that the ATF wasn’t really interested in stopping illegal gun sales or stopping the movement of guns across the border, Walsh writes, but something else entirely. And until the national media exposes the “lies” coming from the Department of Justice, Americans simply won’t get answers as to what purpose the ATF and DoJ really intended[.]

But Laura Curtis takes a different track.

Oh, sure, it’s a smoking gun showing that the Obama administration deliberately sold guns to narcoterrorists and deliberately failed to track them. That is a huge story. Watergate pales in comparison, if for no other reason than the body count, which currently stands at over 200 people.

It is also a smoking gun for the biased media, which is roundly refusing to cover the story.

She goes on to recount the outrageously outraged and shockingly shocked mainstream media’s hyperventilating reporting of George W Bush’s completely legal activities that saved American (and other) lives. Day after day, legal action after legal action, all which saved lives, hyperventilatingly covered in the major newspapers and on the TV news outlets.

But the Obama regime’s corrupt, illegal activities that have cost over 200 innocent American and Mexican lives? Meh. American public, the mainstream media’s “not that into you.” Laura Curtis finishes her article:

If you ever wanted definitive proof that the press operates as an appendage of the Democratic party, I give you Fast and Furious. Q.E.D.

In slightly modified trucker lingo, “you got that stuff right.”

Fast And Furious: A Scandal Of Epic Proportion

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/09/29

The breadth and depth of the Obama Administration’s involvement in the wholly corrupt Operation Fast And Furious is of epic proportion. I would venture to say there has been no time in the history of the US that a scandal of this size has ever before been perpetrated, in terms of the number and level of the people involved, in terms of the cover-up involved, and in terms of lives lost.

ATF bought guns, then sold them to illegal buyers. An ATF agent in charge ordered this done, then ordered the illegal buyers not be surveilled, then when the field agent who had disobeyed that corrupt order and surveilled them anyway reported the guns were being moved and requested the ATF take down the illegal buyers and those moving the guns, his supervisor flat-out refused, allowing the guns to just disappear. Then the supervisor got promoted.

An FBI informant was involved in illegally transporting the guns across the border. The FBI also covered up the fact one of the Fast And Furious guns, tied to the FBI, was used in a murder.

The Department of Justice has obstructed the Congressional investigation, ordering its people to not cooperate, deceiving the Congressional investigation, and refusing to release documents related to Fast And Furious.

The White House received emails regarding Fast And Furious as it was in operation.

Over 200 murders are tied to Fast And Furious guns, including civilians, Law Enforcement officials, Government officials, and including people on both sides of the border.

While the New Media has been covering this epic scandal as the epic scandal it is, Mainstream Media has in essence not given much weight to the scandal at all. And some Democrats, at one point, were trying to use the wholly corrupt Operation Fast And Furious in an attempt to take away gun rights.

I have created a chronological list of New Media reports on Fast And Furious that I’ll place below the fold. The list is far from exhaustive, barely scratching the surface. Nor does the list start at the beginning, but it is a decent place to work on some research. Do some research, if you haven’t already, and let your anger at the full-blown corruption grow. Then inform those around you and vote the bums out.
