Obama Needs To Grow A “Big Stick”

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2012/09/12

During the moment of silence to remember 9/11, NBC decided to interview a Kardashian instead.

Muslim Brotherhood terrorists attacked the US Embassy in Egypt. And that embassy apologized to the Muslim Brotherhood terrorists for our First Amendment!

Muslim Brotherhood terrorists attacked the US Consulate in Libya, killing our ambassador.

MSNBC went out of its way to loudly declare its desire to have a Christian pastor charged with accessory to murder due to his non-violent exercising of his First Amendment rights, which MSNBC declared responsible for Muslim Brotherhood terrorists behaving like terrorists.

Of course, Obama has decided to get tough with … Israel! By refusing to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister.

While the media has very clearly coordinated their Left-wing agenda questioning of Romney over Egypt and Libya, Barack Obama refused to take any questions after reading a statement someone else prepared for him to read, as is very typical and very habitual of Obama.

Of course, two people spoke out very clearly in defense of the US and our Constitution.

As Erika Johnsen reports:

I think it’s an absolutely horrible thing, because what you have to understand — here we are on 9/11, remembering the attacks… and now we have had another attack on sovereign American soil, which is what a consulate and an embassy is. Our flag was torn down, it was burned, the radical Islamists’ flag was raised, and we have an American official that lost their life. And the first thing that comes out is that we’re going to apologize for something that a Christian, Coptic individual posted in a video on his Facebook site. So now, if we’re going to start eschewing our freedom of speech rights to apologize to people for these type of attacks, Greta, you’re only get even more of this. This is rewarding bad behavior, and I think you’re going to see this dovetail into other countries. … I think it’s a horrific response that we’re apologizing. We’re accepting the blame for this which means you’re going to feel more of this response. …

Spot-on. It is insane — insane – that we should feel the need to tiptoe around the tender feelings of violent, overzealous radical Islamists (or, as some in the MSM now seem to be oh-so-subtly calling them, “ultraconservative” Islamists — really, guys?). Freedom of religion and freedom of speech are human rights, and I don’t mean that like ‘universal healthcare’ is supposed to be a human right (which, by the way, it isn’t). They are undeniable, inalienable, universal rights — absolutely no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it — and for representatives of the United States to get all sheepish and showcase their willingness to be bullied on that point makes me extremely nervous, to say the least.

Here’s what that Great American Sarah Palin had to say:

Apparently President Obama can’t see Egypt and Libya from his house. On the anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks ever perpetrated on America, our embassy in Cairo and our consulate in Benghazi were attacked by violent Islamic mobs. In Cairo, they scaled the walls of our embassy, destroyed our flag, and replaced it with a black Islamic banner. In Benghazi, the armed gunmen set fire to our consulate and killed an American staff member. The Islamic radicals claim that these attacks are in protest to some film criticizing Islam. In response to this, the U.S. embassy in Cairo issued a statement that was so outrageous many of us thought it must be a satire. The embassy actually apologized to the violent mob attacking us, and it even went so far as to chastise those who use free speech to “hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” (Funny, the current administration has no problem hurting the “religious feelings” of Catholics.)

But where is the president’s statement about this? These countries represent his much touted “Arab Spring.” How’s that Arab Spring working out for us now? Have we received an apology yet from our “friends” in the Muslim Brotherhood for the assault on our embassy?

It’s about time our president stood up for America and condemned these Islamic extremists. I realize there must be a lot on his mind these days – what with our economy’s abysmal jobless numbers and Moody’s new warning about yet another downgrade to our nation’s credit rating due to the current administration’s failure to come up with a credible deficit reduction plan. And, of course, he has a busy schedule – with all those rounds of golf, softball interviews with the “Pimp with the Limp,” and fundraising dinners with his corporate cronies. But our nation’s security should be of utmost importance to our Commander-in-chief. America can’t afford any more “leading from behind” in such a dangerous world. We already know that President Obama likes to “speak softly” to our enemies. If he doesn’t have a “big stick” to carry, maybe it’s time for him to grow one.

– Sarah Palin

Is there any question, any question at all, why I endorsed a Palin/West Presidential ticket last year?

The Obama administration is absolutely an international disgrace to our nation. NBC is disgraceful. The mainstream media with its Left-Wing agenda — not bias but agenda — is a disgrace to our nation. MSNBC, with its anti-Constitutional, Socialist agenda, is an absolute disgrace to America, to journalism, to anything representing honorable values.

And if anyone holds any value whatsoever for the opinions or “journalism” coming out of MSNBC, that person is both a fool and an idiot, and cannot be considered to be a valuable contributing member to society.

Allen West For Vice President

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/07/19

The dishonorable Polutico author and JournoList member Ben Smith wrote another dishonorable article. Since I don’t link to Polutico if I can avoid it, I’ll link to Hot Air Headlines, which in turn links to Polutico.

… in which she responded — without naming him — to the Tea Party freshman’s support for…

Uhh, Bennie, are you sure you want to play that game? Because immediately after you wrote that, you wrote:

“The gentleman from Florida. who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, …”

By your own quote, it is very obvious who Debbie Wutzername Schmuck was talking about. Yes, she in fact did name him by making that statement you quoted. You, Bennie, might want to quit playing your dishonorable games. You, Bennie, might want to try integrity for a change.

What’s this all about? Allen West fired off a scathing email to Debbie Wutzername Schmuck where Allen West has her dead to rights.

From: Z112 West, Allen

Subject: Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman-Schultz

Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!

I am bringing your actions today to our Majority Leader and Majority Whip and from this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior……which dates back to the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign hqs, October 2010 in Deerfield Beach.

You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!

Steadfast and Loyal

Congressman Allen B West (R-FL)

One minor correction. She may not be the most vile, unprofessional and despicable member of the House, but she is most definitely one of the most vile, unprofessional and despicable members of the House.

In the Polutico comment thread comes the perfect comment.

Wow. After reading the blurb and the comments I am struck with a truth that needs repeating here. The tactics of the Left never change. First they smear someone in classic passive/agressive style, behind their back, indirectly and with lies that are calculated to enrage the ignorant, the lazy and the leftist bigot. Then when someone calls them out on their slanderous, juvenile behavior, they act passive/agressive again, playing the poor wittow VICTIM (waa, waa), belittling the person, demeaning them, dehumanizing them and in every way. It is an especially childish thing to do. It is a tactic that works well with children and with childish adults. It seems to come naturally to those of the left.

That’s dead-eye accurate and it nails some very obvious Leftist commenters I know.

Congressman Kelly Hits Hypocritical Democrats Hard

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/06/25

The previous Republican wave election, 1994, saw a large number of Conservative freshmen hit the stage. In 1995, after the wave election was seated, the House of Representatives went into session and commenced with their standard Committee hearings. And Democrats thought it was business as usual. A particular incident is burned into my memory. During one particular Committee hearing, a Democrat was busy giving his speech, where he was using boilerplate scare tactics and lies about the “meanie” Republicans. A Freshman Republican got out of his seat, walked over to the lying Democrat, pointed down at a section of the stack of papers in front of the Democrat. And the Democrat immediately shut up.

It was a banner day. It was definitely a shot across the bow. These Freshman Republicans were not going to lie down and take it. They were not going to “go along to get along” as the Democrats ran their typical lie-and-smear-and-fear-monger campaign. These Freshman Republicans were going to call the Democrats on their “life as usual” lies. And that lasted for a while, until the Statist Republicans once again took over — especially after Statist George W Bush got elected.

Enter 2010. Another wave election. This time even larger than the historic 1994 elections. This time a grass-roots wave election instead of the Top-Down wave of 1994. And the Committees of 2011. And we have a new banner day as obvious TEA Party Republican Representative Mike Kelly from Pennsylvania utterly crushes the Democrats.

I’m trying to understand the criticism of Mr. Ryan’s budget from the side that didn’t even have the courage to pass a budget. To sit there now and rail about Mr. Ryan’s budget, about how it’s so ineffective and how it doesn’t work is, to me, the greatest, most hypocritical statement I’ve heard since coming here. And I’ve got to tell you something… I’m not speaking as a Republican here, I’m speaking as an American. You want to know why the public opinion of Congress is so low? It’s because we don’t listen.

If you want to start the reelection campaign and the strategy for 2012 now, that’s fine. But how about we just fix what’s broken? Instead of standing here pointing fingers at each other, let’s quit spending money we don’t have, let’s not keep borrowing money and using our kids and our grandkids as note signers.

Let’s stop railing against the really wealthy, because I’ve got to tell you something. As a guy who has had to pay his own way his whole life I am greatly offended by the idea that somehow somebody in Washington knows how to spend my money better than I do. That somebody in Washington knows how to regulate me to the point where I can’t even borrow money any more. You want to talk about people who are afraid? The small banks. They’re scared to death to do anything. Why? Because their government has such onerous regulations on them anymore that they don’t know about the rules and the regulations that have been put through or haven’t even been written.

Congress has not passed a budget in approaching 800 days. That’s over two years. In 2010, Congress — which was massively controlled by Democrats in both Houses — refused to even attempt a budget because the Democrats knew any budget they would come up with would cause more Democrats to lose their seats. The nation was broiling over the runaway spending and not about to sit still and take a tax increase, so the Democrats chose instead to violate the Constitution and not even attempt a budget. In 2011, the House of Representatives, run by Republicans, did their Constitutional duty and passed a budget. Harry Reid decided “his” Democrat-controlled Senate wouldn’t even bother. Despite the Constitutional requirements.

During the 2010 election cycle, Democrats foolishly tried to demagogue the budget issue while hypocritically refusing to even try to pass a budget, painting Republicans in what Democrats thought was a bad light. The problem? The American citizens wanted the fiscal restraint the Republicans were running on. In 2011, Democrats are still foolishly using that demagoguery, refusing to put forth a budget and trying to paint Republicans in what Democrats think is a bad light. Of course, they have the full aid and support of the mainstream media (who are no longer even trying to hide their Leftist agenda). But Conservative talk radio and the Conservative blogosphere is destroying the Leftist memes. And the American people are still demanding Government live within its means and actually cut spending — drastically.

Representative Mike Kelly (R – PA) (TEA Party) is not letting the Democrats get away with their usual lies and scare tactics. And he’s not the only one. Representative Allen West (R – FL) (TEA Party) is another, as is Representative Michele Bachmann (R – MN) (TEA Party) and many others. And the Conservative social media and Conservative talk radio are hammering away at the hypocritical, lying Democrats and mainstream media (but I repeat myself).
