Our erstwhile commenter John The Liberal, he of the silly hat and still proprietor of American Liberal Times, seems to have embarked on a journey that has finally lead him over the edge. Although we neither comment there any longer, nor attempt to, an occasional glance at the raving political lunacy fulminating from his blog, serves as a healthful reminder to ourselves not to let things get too out of hand; lest we end up like that. Despite his constant pleas for comment, readers of this blog will recollect that John The Liberal not only banned conservative commenters from his blog, but also reported that he went through years of postings in order to purge all trace of their past presence. This does not necessarily mean that he does not himself read conservative blogs, since his postings on his own site often reference and rail against the contemptuous views which conservatives have reportedly displayed both toward him and his product.
Now, unless he is making this up, or is referencing very old comments or newly screened comments he does not allow to post, he is reading conservative comments on conservative blogs.
Yet nursing these grievances is not quite enough. Apparently the mere fact that conservative infidels can see his blog at all is too much insult for John The Liberal to bear. Mr. Hitchcock of this blog, once reported that he was unable to return the favor of John the Liberal’s visit here, because he was peremptorily banned from American Liberal Times blog or filtered out before having even gotten one comment posted. Now, as if to prove that John The Liberal and his loyal crew of vomit eaters need no stinkin’ outsiders at all, John The Liberal, has, and apparently intentionally, banned anyone not previously cleared from even looking at his site.

Because so many of us have been laughing at it, rather than with the American Liberal Times blog, there might be a kind of perverse logic there. If John The Liberal refuses to give up his morally shameful practices, he will at least hide them from prying eyes.

Just trying to keep things straight here in case of potential developments in the Still Somewhat United Kingdom: but, if Scotland declares its independence in order to form a more perfect collectivist state, is Scotland somehow automatically grandfathered in on the various agreements and crap we have with Great Britain?
I mean, like, man, how could this legally be? Wouldn’t Scotland then be a brand new country, with no treaties or agreements with anyone and no membership in any international organizations?
So … then Scotland wouldn’t even be a member of the United Nations, right? And the United States, for example, would have neither direct nor indirect obligations or arrangements with the Scotch – assuming they even exist for much longer before turning their country over to foreign laborers in return for a promise that their pensions will be paid until they die, or whatever.
But think for a minute. What if Denmark invaded Scotland? Would anyone be legally obligated to respond in its defense? What if Donald Trump invaded … with the intention of turning the whole place into a game preserve?
And, in somewhat happier terms, might this mean in a legal context, for example, that any annoying socialist son-of-a-bitch you might run across, would be – as long as he was Scotch – virtually outside the law … if that is, you could catch it off its home turf?
Now, “Why in the world … “, you might ask ” .. would I even wonder about something like that”? Especially as I am always carping in favor of freedom and self-determination?
The answer is obvious: Alex Salmond.

I’ve been doing a little reading about the Scottish Independence referendum, and it is clear that a great deal of what has been driving it, unfortunately, is not a desire for more freedom, but a demand for less.
And who is especially in favor of it? Well, according to those profiled in The Guardian, it’s those who have heretofore had little or no interest in politics, and but who presently draw checks from it.
So what we have here in the Scotch Independence Movement, is a movement that appears to be largely by and for those who draw their meal tickets from the government and who are determined to make sure that if England is infected by “neo-liberal” ideas of the kind that spell individual rights and less government direction, they will not be part of it.
Of course others have a different opinion. Some see it, and speaking of Donald Trump, as part of a vast right wing conspiracy for which Salmond is acting as crony or front man.
Who can say really. All we really know is what the Scotch in favor of the movement say, and that is that they want less dangerous classical liberalism and more guaranteed welfare statism, even if it means paying for their “Independence” by importing a non-Scots replacement population in order to to underwrite it all.
Why don’t they just put guns to their heads and pull the triggers?
The Nazis, famous for being infamous, were once also famous for complaining that many of the most vigorous of the German nationality had emigrated to America; leaving behind a more stolid and less heroic population than was necessary for an anti-classical liberal national revivification of the kind they envisioned. Their proposed solution was the organized militarization of their political culture, and the expulsion (or murder) all non-Germans in the perfervid hope of reinvigorating their “people”.
The Scotch solution to an endemic national ennui and the threat of encroaching classical liberalism, is to declare independence from the source of the individual self-direction taint (England), and turn the country over to immigrants who will, they hope, underwrite the comfort of the present pensioner class.
Talk about two suicidal extremes proposed as answers to what was essentially the same question …
From a provocative website I often read, resist agreeing with just as frequently, and occasionally comment on, comes this remark from another visitor concerning what looks to be a blossoming theme these days.

Seems that whenever there is a report that the chickens of chaos may come home to roost in the liberal coop itself, some observers are quick to offer up a grim “So who gives a damn?”
And what is a limited government type to think when the left/fascist social vandals and subverters of our once constitutional government of strictly enumerated powers, i.e., those who would drag us into fascistic liberty killing social programs like the Obamacare individual mandate, or who would flood the nation with illegally arriving aliens, are themselves targeted, quite literally and for death, by foreign jihadis?
Does one get upset? Do you ruefully shake your head at the irony? Or do you pull up a chair, and crack open a beer?
Now for the main bout of the evening, a tag team match. In the postmodern-left blue state corner, defending the internally driven ruination of western civilization, we have Amanda “Death to the Patriarchy” and borderline personality Marcotte, and Michael “Lord Humongous” Moore!

So, somehow ISIS has not gotten the message that the American left is really more like them in their totalitarianism than not. And for some reason ISIS, not recognizing the American left as fundamentally their kind of people, proposes creating mayhem in certain leftist-rich targets.
Recalling then, Michael Moore’s infamous query as to why a liberal target like New York had to be attacked rather than some conservative place like Provo, Utah, what is a non-masochist to think about the possibility of the fat boy himself (or those ideologically like him) being hoisted on his own malice packed petard?
Well, I’m not quite sure what to think, myself. It’s possible that there is a larger moral dimension to it, despite what one would naturally imagine.
But I am pretty sure that the guy who wrote this was on to something in a general way when he, to repeat, observed: “We can’t save stupid white liberals and save ourselves at the same time.”
He says he figures we can’t.
If push comes to shove, I am as yet unconvinced we should even try.
We recall of course that some 13 years ago progressive propagandist and cherished celebrity, His Rotundity Michael Moore, infamously set the stage for the spread of this attitude, when he asked in dismay why the Muslims had to attack New York, a liberal metropolis, rather than some conservative heartland site.
Gee, if the terrorists had just murdered conservative Christians, then Michael Moore could have understood, and maybe even sympathized.
Yeah Michael you submoral dog. So much for E Pluribus Unum, eh?
Well, thirteen years into it, those Americans who still value liberty and self-direction have gotten so used to the homicidal malice of the collectivist class, that they now, in turn, shrug at the thought of the collectivists themselves being destroyed by morally alien forces.
The underlying question is: What do you actually lose, when a malevolent parasite which has attached itself to you through your own long suffering tolerance and forbearance, is swept away by another?
Many have noticed that modern liberalism and Islamism are both anti-liberty of conscience, socially fascistic, and legally totalitarian ideologies. Many freedom loving Americans, less naive than their parents and grandparents, are apparently now prepared to stand back and watch “Hitler “and “Stalin” destroy each other; even if the war takes place on our own soil.
The question of whether the destruction would have unstoppably catastrophic side effects aside, it’s hard to blame a free man for shrugging at the destruction of those emotionalists who are, and have been, working for decades to destroy his freedom and ultimately his life.
What has a free man got to lose, when one flavor of collectivist is killed by another?

Most Americans don’t have the stomach for what it would take to truly rid the world of this cancer. Washington Post: ‘Obama’s Foreign Policy Is Based on Fantasy’

In a hard-hitting editorial today, the Post’s editors declared Obama’s outlook a “fantasy” and said that “For five years, President Obama has led a foreign policy based more on how he thinks the world should operate than on reality.”
They described Obama’s fantasy world:
It was a world in which “the tide of war is receding” and the United States could, without much risk, radically reduce the size of its armed forces. Other leaders, in this vision, would behave rationally and in the interest of their people and the world. Invasions, brute force, great-power games and shifting alliances — these were things of the past.
This is exactly what Heritage’s James Carafano and Kim Holmes warned about early in the Obama presidency.
“The tenets of the Obama Doctrine… do not reflect history or the threats we face,” said Carafano, the E. W. Richardson Fellow, and Holmes, author of Liberty’s Best Hope: American Leadership for the 21st Century. “They will serve to undermine America’s strengths and make it more difficult for friends and allies to figure out where we stand or how we might act in critical times.”

So, CBS News and Quinnipiac combined to generate an outrageously biased poll of Ohio voters. CBS/Quinnipiac is going to have to hurry up and un-bias its polling if they are wanting to use their “history of accuracy” when polling in the future. If they want reasonable people to think they’re Honorable.
CBS/Quinnipiac found Obama trailing among Ohio independents by seven points but somehow leading overall by five points and (barely) reaching the magical 50 percent barrier. Think about that. Among Republicans in the Buckeye State, Obama is absolutely gone. Among independents in the bellwether state (accurately picking the US President something like 27 times out of the last 29 elections, or 25 times out of the last 27, either way, that’s over 100 years of being a bellwether), Obama trails by 7. And yet, CBS/Quinnipiac has the audacity to declare Obama leads overall by 5. The numbers do not at all add up that way, unless CBS/Quinnipiac puts its left thumb on the scale. And that’s precisely what they did.
I’m inclined to think that Ohio is going to be close all the way to the election. But I’m also inclined to think that the electorate will be more than 26% Republican. That’s the sample in this poll, which has a laughable D/R/I of 35/26/34. In 2008 [link to CNN], the D/R/I was 39/31/30, while in 2010 [link to CBS] it was 36/37/28. We have plenty of data on enthusiasm in this election cycle, precisely none of which points to an 11-point drop in Republican participation in two years in this race.
Yet, with a D+9 advantage and Republicans only at 26% of the sample, Obama can only muster a 5-point lead in the topline. That was his margin of victory in 2008 in Ohio, by the way, but Obama won Ohio independents by eight points in that election. In this poll, he’s down seven points, a fifteen-point flip in the gap. That’s the most telling indicator thus far, and the one that cuts through the sampling biases.
In the Democrat wave of 2008, Republicans made up 31 percent of the Ohio vote. Absolutely all indicators are this is not a Democrat wave election, and yet, CBS/Quinnipiac has given Republicans a 5-point disadvantage from the 2008 Democrat wave election. All of the energy and tide is on the Republican side, none of it is on the Democrat side. Even in the horribly sampled CBS/Quinnipiac poll, Obama has lost 15 points among independents from his 2008 5-point victory in Ohio.
Looking at the actual numbers, and removing the agenda-driven CBS/Quinnipiac thumb from the scale, Obama trails by 3 or 4 in Ohio. And that is in line with Ohio’s over a century history of being a bellwether and national trending. And, as CBS/Quinnipiac noted, even in its D+9 poll that severely undersampled Republicans, Obama lost 10 combined points to Romney in 4 weeks in a state that Obama cannot afford to lose. And the trend is for Obama to further shed votes.
As a 44-year resident of the Buckeye State, I am rather pleased with the un-fudged Ohio data and the Ohio trend. I can smell doom and gloom (and panic) from the Socialists running the Democrat party from my new Texas home.
FORT HOOD, Texas – An Army appeals court has ruled that the Fort Hood shooting suspect can have his facial hair forcibly shaved off before his murder trial.
The U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals’ opinion issued Thursday upheld the military trial judge’s decision to order Maj. Nidal Hasan to appear in court clean shaven or be forcibly shaved.
It also ruled that Col. Gregory Gross, the judge, properly found that the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act doesn’t give Hasan the right to have a beard while in uniform at trial.
Hasan has said the beard is an expression of his Muslim faith. His attorneys say they’ll appeal the ruling.
I wonder: do they have to use lather and hot water, or is a dry straight razor acceptable? 🙂
Of course, I’m sure that they will use an electric razor on this fine example of the religion of peace.
I suspect that Major Hasan’s insistence on wearing a beard is less “an expression of his Muslim faith” than it is of doing what little he can to spite the Army and the United States again. If it were truly his Muslim faith, after having launched a martyrdom attack, he would proudly plead guilty and ask for a sentence of death. Perhaps he thinks that he’ll be able to use his court martial to issue some kind of grandiose statement, but the presiding officer will quickly squelch that.
I don’t recall discussing the death penalty much on THE FIRST STREET JOURNAL, but readers of my old site will recall that I am opposed to capital punishment. Major Hasan could be sentenced to death if found guilty, and part of me would like to see that, just so we could see how the brave Islamist warrior shrinks from such a fate and appeals the sentence. But, in reality, the best sentence would be life in prison, deprived of all of his religious materials, with a crucifix hanging on his wall, forever out of his reach, and a promise to throw his body to the pigs when he finally dies. Let him languish, remembering every day as he urinates and defecates in his diaper¹ that while he may have killed fourteen people who were better than him, he is really a small and unimportant man creature, headed only for Hell.

HAIFA, Israel — An Israeli court rejected on Tuesday accusations that Israel was at fault over the death of American activist Rachel Corrie, who was crushed by an army bulldozer during a 2003 pro-Palestinian demonstration in Gaza.
Corrie’s family had accused Israel of intentionally and unlawfully killing their 23-year-old daughter, launching a civil case in the northern Israeli city of Haifa after a military investigation had cleared the army of wrongdoing.
In a ruling read out to the court, judge Oded Gershon called Corrie’s death a “regrettable accident,” but said the state was not responsible because the incident had occurred during what he termed a war-time situation.
At the time of her death, during a Palestinian uprising, Corrie was protesting against Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
“I reject the suit,” the judge said. “There is no justification to demand the state pay any damages.”
He added that the soldiers had done their utmost to keep people away from the site. “She (Corrie) did not distance herself from the area, as any thinking person would have done.“

If you are stupid enough to stand in front of a moving bulldozer, and ‘dozers don’t move that fast, you deserve whatever happens to you.
Corrie’s mother Cindy told a news conference after the court’s decision that the bulldozer personnel had the “ability” and also an “obligation” to have seen that her daughter was in its path.
As it happens, I am a heavy equipment operator, and I can tell you that the operator cannot see through a steel bucket or blade. The operator knows what he is doing through seeing material move past the edge of the blade, by feel (the resistance of the material to the advance of the machine), and by experience.
The operator also “knows” what he is doing through assumptions; we assume that no one is stupid enough to stand in front of the blade. This is Jack, one of the backyard bunnies. If I walk toward Jack, he sees me as a menace to his health and life, and he hops away. Heavy equipment operators assume that people are more intelligent than rabbits, and will hop out of the way of approaching heavy equipment; apparently Jack is smarter than the late Miss Corrie was, because Jack would never have simply stood in front of a moving ‘dozer!
The Israeli court was absolutely right to dismiss the lawsuit. If Cindy Corrie wants to blame somebody for her daughter’s death, she should look in the mirror and ask herself how she managed to rear a daughter dumb enough to stand in front of a moving bulldozer.
Now wasn’t it just a few days ago BO chastised the Repubs for running up a fictional restaurant Bill and leaving the bill for him. He used this for a metaphor to bash Bush for about the 5,000th time this election series. And here BO skips out of lunch with the GI’s stuck with the Bill. The word IRONY does not do this Justice. Maybe Lowlife fits, or he ain’t got no good upbringing and expected we pay for it.
Obama Treats Military Vets To Lunch…Then Leaves Without Paying the Bill

Barack Obama isn’t necessarily known for being fiscally responsible, but it seems he may be a bit oblivious when it comes to personal finances as well as national.
ABC explains:
Amid the bustle of President Obama’s surprise stop for barbecue Wednesday the White House apparently overlooked one key detail: the bill.
Celebrating Father’s Day early, the president had lunch with two service members and two local barbers at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill.
As the group chatted about fatherhood, the president enjoyed a steaming plate of pork ribs with hot sauce, collard greens, red beans and rice and cornbread.
The bill for the president and his four guests was $55.58, but was left unpaid at the point of sale, according to pool reports.

Ironically, the move follows Obama’s declaration that Republicans left him the bill for a steak dinner on the economy.
Obama representatives settled this particular debt by the end of the day, and the servicemen (at least during the meal) seemed to be enjoying their time.
Rock and Roll bands have occasionally acquired added musical support for their “one drum and three guitars” music. Sometimes, the rock bands consist of one drum, two guitars and a keyboard. But they all invariably employ outside help for certain songs and certain sounds. Kool & the Gang employed a very large (for a rock band) brass section, but that brass section was not extra help. It was integral to Kool & the Gang’s sound. Without the alto sax, tenor sax, trumpet, trombone, Kool & the Gang would not have their signature sound. That, and the peppy, up-beat sound made Kool & the Gang extraordinarily successful. And it gave them reason to celebrate.
And I have no doubt that song was played in November, 2010, as the TEA Party crushed the Marxist, Maoist Democrat agenda in epic fashion. More House seats switched sides in 2010 than had switched sides since the Great Depression, clearly outdistancing the 1994 Republican Tsunami, itself a strong reaction against radical Leftism in its own right. But that’s not where 2010 ended. Many Democrat-held Governorships were swept under by the breaking TEA Party wave, such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and most notably Wisconsin, the birthplace of “Progressivism” (read Socialism).
Again, that’s not where the TEAnami ended. A lot of people in the Socialist Democrat camp and in the Ruling Class Republican camp point to Nevada, Delaware, and Alaska in their mockery of the TEA Party, but they do so because they don’t want people to see Wisconsin’s ouster of a long-term radical Leftist Senator or Utah’s ouster of a mush-mouth Republican or the addition of a Republican in the Illinois US Senate seat previously besmirched by Barack Obama’s, umm, personality. They don’t want any attention focused on the fact over 200 Democrat-held seats in the New Hampshire Legislature switched hands into Republican seats. They don’t want anyone to notice that, for the first time since Reconstruction (or the first time in 170 years, which is longer), Democrats are no longer the majority Party in some southern Legislatures. They don’t want anyone to note that over 700 Democrat-held seats became Republican-held seats and primarily because of Obama-Reid-Pelosi and the TEA Party.
Enter 2012. The Ruling Class Republicans have forced the mush-mouth, three sides to every issue, dishonest Mitt Romney on us. They think they’ve won. But they have two very serious battles on their hands. Orrin Hatch did not survive the Utah Caucus and must face a Conservative challenger in a Primary run-off. The absolute squish Dick Lugar of Indiana (who hasn’t lived in Indiana in over 30 years) has been called out on his lie-filled attacks against his challenger Mourdock by none other than a very well-known and very oft-cited Leftist fact-checker. Barney Frank (D – MA, retiring) has publically declared Democrats should not have pushed forward with ObamaCare. While he’s absolutely right about that, he gets all the reasons wrong. But he’s not the only Democrat — outgoing or not — that has declared all or part of ObamaCare to have been the wrong decision to make. A perusal of the above links will show outgoing and one-term Senator Jim Webb (D – VA) agrees, as do multiple Leftists in the media. Again, they arrive at the truth by way of absolutely failed logic, but they do admit the truth: ObamaCare was a wrong thing to pass. And it might not survive, any part of it, the Supreme Court challenge. So the first 2 years in total power down the drain. And a major reason for the 2010 TEAnami.
Will 2012 produce the same TEAnami effects as 2010? Absolutely not. And Ruling Class Republicans and the mainstream media (read Democrats) will proclaim the lack of such a TEAnami to be proof the TEA Party has lost its influence. It will be a lie. If, in the elections this year, the current status is maintained, it will provide a new “normal” in the political world. The TEA Party influence in the US political world will have been quantified and standardized. Meaning the TEA Party is maintaining its influence, however less publicly and less vocally.
But I don’t expect status quo. I expect even more Governors’ mansions will be Republican-occupied as a result of the 2012 elections than now. I expect more State Legislatures will change hands from Democrat to Republican. I expect the US Senate to go decidedly Republican.
When then-Governor Joe Manchin (D – WV), a well-liked politician as evidenced by his sky-high approval ratings ran for special election for Robert Byrd’s seat– What? Oh, that’s right. Sorry about that. Ladies and gentlemen, Senator Brown (R – MA) reminds me it’s The People’s Seat and not Robert Byrd’s seat. When then-Governor Manchin ran for special election to the US Senate after the previous Senator went on to his Eternal Reward (or punishment), he found himself in an unexpectedly tight race as a Republican businessman with far lower name recognition took him to the mat by tying him to ObamaCare. And Senator Joe Manchin (D – WV) has publicly declared he doesn’t know if he’ll vote for Obama this year or no. ABC writer Matthew Larotonda quotes Obama bigshot David Axelrod’s statements on CNN declaring Joe Manchin made a self-survival political decision by publicly being unsure of his vote for President.

On CNN today, David Axelrod suggested the West Virginia Democrat made the statements as a security measure while he seeks reelection this fall.

Any Democrat politician who has less than a 5 percent lead will be running away from Obama, for “his own political well-being”. Any Democrat politician who trails the Republican will be running away from Obama, for “his own political well-being.” That’s a given. Obama is absolutely caustic to the re-election hopes of incumbent Democrats and the election hopes of Democrats hoping to unseat Republicans. Toxic.
It is said winners of the Presidential Election have coat-tails. Candidates down-ticket win elections they wouldn’t have due to the person on the top of the ticket. The reverse is also true. And the reverse is a whirlpool. Obama is at the center of history’s arguably most powerful whirlpool in the Free World. Successfully tie a down-ticket Democrat to Obama and that down-ticket Democrat loses his or her election bid. And the TEA Party is busily tying a great many Democrat politicians to the Obama whirlpool. To the dismay of those Democrat politicians. And to the benefit of the country as a whole.
Maintaining the status quo in the various State Governments will validate the TEA Party gains of 2010. Maintaining the status quo, or very nearly so, in the US House of Representatives will validate the TEA Party gains of 2010. But I don’t expect the status quo to be merely maintained. I expect further Conservative and Republican (not at all the same thing) gains in the various State Governments, further gains in the US House. I also expect the Republicans to very clearly become the Majority Party in the US Senate. But not only that. I expect the Republican Majority in the US Senate to be clearly more Conservative than the current Republican Minority. Because of the pull of the TEA Party movement and the aversion to the Socialism brought on by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Frank, et al.

While everyone is interested in the Super Tuesday Republican Primaries, something else happened. Dennis Kucinich lost his re-election bid in the Democrat Primaries in Ohio to Marcy Kaptur. Democrats love to tout Obama’s “landslide” victory in 2008, where he received less than 53 percent of the popular vote to McCain’s over 45 percent of the popular vote. To those Democrats, I say Dennis Kucinich was a landslide, avalanche, then landslide loser on Super Tuesday. He got 41 percent of the vote in a three person race, while the winner, Marcy Kaptur, won 55 percent of the vote in a greater landslide win than Obama’s supposed landslide. Blubonnet, a Washington native who believes nearly all the conspiracy theories (such as George Bush blew up the WTC and fire doesn’t melt steel), had declared Kucinich to be her choice for President on many occasions over at CSPT.
Kucinich has spent money on internet ads that can even occasionally be seen on the Conservative/Libertarian Hot Air site, trying to overcome the properly decided Citizens United SCOTUS decision. He’s one of the furthest Left in Congress, and, unless he does some real fishy business, he’s out. Kucinich won Cuyahoga County, which is Cleveland (a Leftist city which has been busily shedding population since the 1950s due to the flight from the results of Liberal rule, losing well over half its population while the US doubled in population during the same time-frame), but he lost in the other four counties in his newly redrawn district (as a result of the 2010 Census and Ohio losing two districts). So, as far as Ohio is concerned, Kucinich is over. But that still leaves Washington State, where I previously wrote (but cannot currently find) Kucinich was seriously considering so he can remain in the US Congress (so much for representing the people where he lives). Cleveland Scene Magazine notes that the filing date in Washington State is not until May 18, so Kucinich could still flee Ohio, which has lost two seats, and file for election in Washington State, which has gained a seat, and run in a second Democrat Primary for Congress. The question remains how interested in advancing issues Ohioans want is Kucinich? And the corollary: How much does Kucinich want the power that goes with being a career Congresscritter, regardless of the wishes of the people he supposedly represents? And a second corollary: Since the people Kucinich supposedly represents resoundlingly rejected him, will he go find new people to accept him so he can keep his power, beholden to none of “We the People”?
Now that the Socialist Dennis Kucinich lost his bid to represent We the People, the question remains whether he’s there for the power or for the intent the Founders and Framers laid out.

“Joe the Plumber” won the Republican Primary, when people didn’t know whether he’d face the Socialist Dennis Kucinich or the Leftist Marcy Kaptur. So “Joe the Plumber” will face Marcy Kaptur in the 2012 General, in a very solidly Democrat district.

Most Americans don’t have the stomach for what it would take to truly rid the world of this cancer. Rules of Engagement, the enemy using human shields and hiding in schools, religious temples and mosques all make any operation dicey, and open to scrutiny by those too meek to even take part — but not afraid to arm-chair QB. Once again, the U.S. is alone because our allies in Europe don’t have the stones to do what is needed. Once again, we will inevitably come to the rescue and risk our troops, spend our money and resources, and bear the burden of fighting another terrorist group in someone else’s backyard — while the rest of the world does nothing but judge. The only way to rid the world of these guys is to take them head on with severe malice. No more of the ticky-tack, PC, inoffensive stuff. Either we go in guns blazing and with bad intentions, or we sit out and tell the rest of the world to figure it out.
