I Wrote A Comment At American Liberal Times

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2014/08/17

DNW has been regaling us with the absurdity that is the Loony Left as represented by one John the Liberal, who runs American Liberal Times. Well, the clown who unfortunately shares my first name wrote an article blasting Voter ID (which is supported by a majority of each segment of each spectrum) and simultaneously calling for mandatory voting. I responded. I expected to get a message saying my comment is in moderation. I did not get that message. Instead, I got a response from the site that suggested my comment went directly into the spam filter. That response was a refreshing of the direct page without even the hint that I commented at all. Good job, DNW. Not only did you get yourself banned from the illogical, deceitful, dishonorable site, but you also got this site, which is based on Honor, banned from it. That does, indeed, show the depth of depravity, the complete inability to hear the truth, the total disregard for Honorable debate “John the Liberal” has.

Knowing there might be an issue with commenting there, I had the forethought to save what I wrote before hitting the submit button. And here it is.

You say “feel free to comment” when you actually mean “comment when and if your opinion matches my own completely off-balance opinion”. I know this to be the case because an author on my blog has attempted to enter into an intellectual and logical debate with you. What did he get in return? “La la la la la I can’t hear you.” And a “you’re not welcome” sign.

You’re not interested in the truth. While I do know Leftists who are, indeed, interested in honest debate; aphrael (the “married” homosexual Leftist at Patterico’s Pontifications) and Jeff (the Left-wing Jewish heterosexual who is down for the cause of homosexual “marriage” (something every true Christian is foursquare against) at Opinions Nobody Asked For) are two such examples, you, however are not in that crowd. I have strong respect for both aphrael and Jeff, despite their being wrong on just about every issue. They, at least, try to debate honestly. You should give it a try yourself.

The only thing that seems to happen is that the voter ID laws become ever increasingly demanding

Prove it. You won’t because you can’t. It’s just a sham you on the Left push in your efforts to make enforcement of eligibility requirements as difficult as possible. You need the fraudulent votes. You need the politicians’ lies. Without both, you lose lots of elections you’re currently winning.

You claim vote fraud is rare. The way you write suggests it’s virtually unheard of. The only reason it would be unheard of is due to the fact mainstream media works so hard to hide it. Vote fraud is hardly rare. I have personally compiled a small sampling of massive voter fraud and voter registration fraud. And it inevitably points to your side of the political spectrum. The side that has the absolute belief that there are no absolutes. (Talk about an intellectually and logically untenable position…)

While it is difficult to ascertain the depths of the vote fraud and voter registration fraud perpetrated by Democrats and Leftists, my proven documentation of Democrat officials engaging in both destroys your claims. As does the 120 percent voter registration in Indianapolis. 120 percent. When even 100 percent is statistically impossible without fraud. And the over 100 percent vote in Florida, used to unseat a black man from office because he didn’t toe the Democrat plantation line.

But your suggestion of making voting mandatory does two things I want to point out here.

1) It proves you on the Left are not at all about independence. You are not at all about individual freedom. You are about control of the people. You are fascist at the core. (That’s what mandatory voting is: Fascism. So, own it or be dishonorable and run from it.)

2) It proves you need the wholly uninformed to vote for your emotionalist scare arguments because, when it’s only the informed who vote, you lose cataclysmically. You cannot win when the people are truly informed and involved. It is impossible. Therefore, the more uninformed the people who vote, the better it is for your totalitarian side. This is proven by the results of “low voter turnout” votes. Those who “don’t get into politics”, in other words, those uninformed types, are more likely to not vote in low voter turnout elections. And low voter turnout elections tend to tilt far to the Right. Thus your need for the uninformed, uneducated, non-critical-thinking masses to be “forced” to vote.

Quite frankly, I would be happy if those who did not pay Federal taxes in the previous year or two were not permitted to vote on any issue that raised taxes on those who actually do pay taxes. Why should the leeches of society get to vote on how much they can leech off those who are forced to lend their arms for the blood-sucking? But my position would be clearly unconstitutional, so I do not advocate for it. Your position, which you are strongly advocating for, is equally unconstitutional.

But since when did the Constitution ever get in the way of you on the far Left?

Here, you can find other articles on this site that concerns voter fraud, voter registration fraud, and the like.

Ed Morrissey Accidentally Spanks Perry Hood

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2014/04/03

As everyone who reads this site regularly knows, Perry Hood of Lewes Delaware is a lying /used female cleansing tool container/ who always ignores the facts as presented him in order to continue his malicious lie-filled attacks on anyone to the right of Mao tse Tung. He’s always spouting off about how there’s no evidence of voter fraud of any scale worth noting, and that Republicans only want to keep Democrats from voting, by use of “gasp” requiring an ID to do something! Well, Ed Morrissey just spanked Perry Hood real hard.

Video: “Thousands of cases” of voter fraud in North Carolina

posted at 12:41 pm on April 3, 2014 by Ed Morrissey

What happens when voter-registration officials get updates on death certificates and records from other states? In North Carolina, they find massive voter fraud. As many as 35,000 North Carolina voters may have voted in another state in the 2012 election, and Republicans are claiming vindication for their efforts to tighten voter-ID checks[.]

35,000 cases of North Carolina voters registered to vote in other states, and quite a few of them availing themselves of the ability to vote in both states in the same General Election (2012). That’s just NC voters in other states. Imagine how the number would grow if each state did such an examination of voter rolls. And the Chicago Zombie voter system was spotted in NC as well — dead voters voting while dead.

Yes, Perry Hood of Lewes Delaware, when states require ID to vote, states flesh out lots of voter fraud. But lets stipulate your accusation that Voter ID is keeping the Democrat vote down. That would mean those Zombie voters (illegal and fraudulent as they are) and those double voters (illegal and fraudulent as they are) are Democrat voters voting fraudulently.

Since this is North Carolina we are talking about, I decided to see if the most beautiful North Carolina blogger had anything to say on the matter. And she did:

It’s fascinating, really. As the information was being tweeted out, liberals who have a vested interest in getting NC’s supposedly “toughest voter ID laws in the nation” tossed off the books on the grounds that they’re “racist” or something didn’t stop to consider anything but the fact that this seriously underminds (sic) their case. Keep in mind, they don’t even know if most of the people who double voted were Republicans or Democrats. In their mind, the law is racist and voter fraud doesn’t exist (except when the GOP wins elections, of course). Perhaps they assumed it was mostly Democrats who fraudulently voted in two different states and seek to change the direction of the debate. After what the left has gotten away with here and elsewhere over the last several decades come election time, can you blame them for going on the defensive?

Vote Fraud Shenanigans Already?

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2012/11/06

We’ve just begun the longest day of 2012, Election Day, and we’ve already been delivered the first signs of Democrat life: vote fraud allegations.

From Nevada, a Union knowingly registering illegals and then threatening them to force them to illegally vote.

ALIPAC, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, based in Raleigh, N.C., sent the Nevada secretary of state an email outlining its intention.

“We want to stop the felonious thefts of American elections,” says William Gheen, ALIPAC’s president.

Gheen points to a commentary published in Sunday’s Las Vegas Review Journal. In it, editorial writer Glenn Cook accuses the Culinary Union 226 of knowingly registering illegal immigrants and then pressured them to vote.

Cook quotes an unidentified illegal immigrant who is on the Clark County voter rolls. The person claims a union representative told them they were “in so much trouble” for refusing to vote.

From Oregon, apparently an election worker completed a few incomplete ballots, by helping those incomplete ballots vote Republican.

Fox 12 in Oregon reports that Deanna Swenson, who was working part-time in Clackamas County, allegedly voted for Republican candidates on two ballots where voters had left sections blank. County commissioners reportedly claimed they saw her fill in the blanks on Oct. 31.

Oregon is the only state in the nation that does its elections entirely by mail. No possibility for fraud there, right? In fact, that system is a fertile feeding ground for anyone wanting to commit mass vote fraud.

From Pennsylvania, Democrat election officials boot out Republican election officials in Democrat fraud and intimidation heavy Philadelphia. A judge orders the Republicans’ reinstatement.

A Pennsylvania judge is issuing an order to reinstate Republican election officials across Philadelphia who allegedly were ejected or refused entry by on-site Democratic voting chief judges, GOP officials tell Fox News.

One Republican official claimed that “just under 70” Republican election officials were blocked from Philadelphia polling sites Tuesday morning by Democrats on site. One of them, the official claimed, “was shoved out of the polling place.”

“For this many inspectors to be ejected from polling places is rare, even for Philadelphia,” the official told FoxNews.com

More Pennsylvania news that needs to be seen and actively corrected. From the Fox News.com front page (which is, obviously, constantly changing):

Public school indoctrination and vote law violation

Look at a major part of the reason public schools are failing. They’re too busy trying to indoctrinate your children into being mind-numbed radical Leftist automatons. But aside from that, it is illegal to promote a candidate or ballot measure within a specific distance of the polling place itself. And this mural pushing Obama is inside the polling place itself. Note the voting machine set up right beside the Obama face and quote. Update: A judge ordered the Election Law violating mural covered, and the Democrat election officials did a urine-poor job of it.

From Michigan, illegal electioneering, assault of a citizen, assault of a police officer.

REPORT: A woman in a Detroit polling location was aggressively campaigning for Obama. A female voter in line objected. The Obama supporter punched the woman in the face.

Police came to arrest her and she smacked the cop.

Developing…

From New York (via Nice Deb): A New York City poll worker tries to force a voter to fill in every blank on the ballot, straight-line Democrat all the way, and declares the ballot would be rejected if any of the lines were left blank. The Republican US Senate candidate strongly obects. Republican US Senate candidate Wendy Long’s letter:

“This morning when I went to vote, a poll worker who was at the scanner, studied my private ballot and proceeded to tell me that it was rejected because I did not ‘fill in every space.’ She then proceeded to indicate that I should mark the Democratic line all the way down.

The poll worker said, ‘you have to fill in all of THESE, all the way down,” indicating the whole line at the far left of the ballot, saying ‘you can’t leave any blank.'”

I said, “I’m sorry, but that just can’t be the case …. that would force me to vote for people I don’t want to vote for.” She insisted again, that every office had to be filled out or the ballot would be rejected. And I said again “I don’t want to vote for those people!”

I protested again and said that I wanted to feed my ballot into the scanner as I had filled it out. She eventually relented saying ‘well you can TRY it’ — meaning she would allow me to put it in the scanner.

It obviously worked.

I had just remarked to all the poll workers, before I filled in my ballot, that we were all very fortunate to have heat and water and electricity.

It is heartbreaking, especially in these trying times for New York City with thousands of voters displaced from their homes and their polling locations, that poll workers would behave in this way, and through intent or ignorance, work to distort the outcome of an election and violate an individual’s right to vote for whomever he or she chooses.

I urge all voters to know your rights when you vote.

You can ask for help in how to operate the scanner, but your ballot is private and cannot and should not be inspected.

You do not have to vote in every office, or fill in every oval. Vote only for the candidates whom YOU want to vote for.

Finally, question authority – poll workers are there to help you to vote, not to tell you how vote. If one crosses the line, contact the Attorney General’s Office or your local Board of Elections.”

In North Carolina, electioneering by a Democrat election official?

Sharpe said he watched as the worker showed the woman where the Obama button was – along with all the other Democrats on the ticket.

“She was pushing the buttons he told her to push,” Sharpe said. “This is pretty shady.”

When it was his turn to vote, the poll worker did the same thing, he said.

“I went up there to vote and he came over and set up the machine for me,” Sharpe said. “He said, ‘If you want to vote straight Democratic ticket mash this button.’”

In Virginia, vote fraud? Former National Republican Congressional Committee Digital Director tries to vote in person in Alexandria and is informed he’d already voted.

Obama Wins 2008, In All Likelihood Loses 2012

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2012/11/01

Below are the 2008 election results from US Election Atlas.org.

Note the Republican states are in blue while the Democrat states are in red. Republicans being red and Democrats being blue wasn’t always the case. Not until those folks at MSNBC switched it around (for propaganda benefits, since red is the color of Leftism and Communism and Socialism). It is my goal that here, at Truth Before Dishonor, the Democrats are once again reverted back to being red and the Republicans are once again reverted back to being blue. Because it is far more in keeping with the Truth about their respective political leanings.

Below is the 270 To Win Battleground States map (with my adjustments for Republican and Democrat. The Battleground states are unchanged.)

Compare the two maps. (singing)Do you see what I see?(/singing) That’s right, folks. Every Republican state in 2008 is Republican in 2012. Every Battleground state was Democrat in 2008. And Indiana, which was Democrat in 2008, with less than 50 percent of the vote (despite Obama having an ACORN-led 105 percent Registered Voter vs Adult Resident advantage in Indianapolis in 2008), is Republican in 2012.

The charts show what everyone in the know has known to be true: Obama is on the defensive, desperately trying to cling to territory he won in 2008 and losing ground. That has been the case since the day he was inaugurated. He has been doing his best to cling to territory won and hoping against hope that he doesn’t lose too much. That’s what happens when you push a lie-filled, anti-American, anti-Christian, Socialist agenda down the throats of American citizens, the majority of whom oppose what you’re doing. (ObamaCare: the majority of the population was against it before it became Law, the majority of the population wanted it repealed immediately after it became Law, the majority of the population wanted it repealed in 2010 when they swept 700 Democrats out of office nationwide, and the majority of the population wants it repealed today.)

How big is this inability to win states Obama won his first time through? Let’s look at previous two-term Presidents.

2000: George W Bush won 271 Electoral College votes.
2004: George W Bush won 286 Electoral College votes.
George W Bush gained 15 Electoral College votes for his second term in office.

1992: Bill Clinton got 370 Electoral College votes.
1996: Bill Clinton got 379 Electoral College votes.
Bill Clinton gained 9 Electoral College votes for his second term in office. (Ross Perot went from just under 19 percent of the overall vote to under 9 percent.)

1980: Ronald Reagan, a true Conservative I could back (but wasn’t Conservative enough on some issues, and I was ineligible to vote regardless), got 489 Electoral College votes.
1984: (The first year I was eligible to vote.) Ronald Reagan got 525 Electoral College votes (losing only Minnesota by 18/100ths of a percent and DC by a huge margin).
Ronald Reagan gained 36 Electoral College votes.

In fact, the last time a sitting President won re-election despite shedding Electoral College votes was the election year of 1944, when Franklin Delano Roosevelt won a fourth term with 432 Electoral College votes, compared to his third term win of 449 Electoral College votes and his second term win of 523 Electoral College votes. But even FDR improved his second term EC votes over his first term EC votes. To find a President who won a second term with fewer EC votes than his first term, you have to go all the way back to the wholly destructive “Progressive” Democrat Woodrow Wilson who won 435 Electoral College votes in 1912, but only gained 277 in 1916, a loss of 158 Electoral College votes for “Progressivism”. He also only garnered 49.24 percent of the popular vote. (Too bad for this country that he couldn’t have lost 170 instead of only 158. Our country would have turned out far better for it.)

The Socialist Barack Obama? He doesn’t have a 168 EC vote cushion to lose. And lose EC votes, he will. Even the pinko Democrat operatives will tell you that. Even the pinko polling firms with their “Democrats will vote in higher proportions than they did in 2008” polling numbers, will tell you that. Independent voters, who gave Obama an 8 point advantage in 2008, are giving Romney a 15 to 20 point advantage in 2012. And the above “battleground” map shows it. Obama has already lost Indiana. Obama cannot win any state he lost in 2008. The Census has reduced the EC number in states Obama won while increasing the EC number in states Obama lost. And every Battleground State is a state Obama won in 2008.

Will this be the first time in 96 years that a sitting President won re-election to a second term while shedding Electoral College votes? I think not. And since, it’s a foregone conclusion that Obama will shed Electoral College votes, I have declared Obama the loser of the 2012 election.

(Truth Before Dishonor intends to do its version of live-blogging the 2012 Presidential Election this upcoming Tuesday night. Tune in to TBD for the 2012 Presidential Election results as they happen. (hopefully))

Voter Fraud, Perjury, Identity Theft, And Democrat Involvement

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2012/01/21

Jason Bauer and Mike McGuinness, two former Democrat Party officials in Oakland County, Michigan, have been convicted on various criminal counts regarding their fraudulent attempts to add fake “Tea Party” candidates to the 2010 ballots, all in an attempt to steal the 2010 elections for Democrats.

Jason Bauer, a former Oakland Country Democratic Party official, was sentenced to one year of probation and $2,600 in fines for his involvement with a 2010 fake Tea Party scheme. Bauer is the second person involved in the plot to be sentenced. Former Oakland County Democratic Party Chair Mike McGuinness pleaded no contest in October to charges of perjury and forgery.

Zach Edwards, an Obama operative, has been arrested on Identity Theft charges. He (allegedly) stole the identities of Iowa’s Republican Secretary of State and/or his brother in an attempt to manufacture a fraudulent email trail to use in an accusation of ethics violations.

It’s difficult to know whether to tell this story in straight or reverse chronology, but either way, it raises eyebrows about the tactics that Iowa Democrats will deploy in 2012. Let’s take this in reverse. The story starts with an arrest yesterday in Des Moines of Zach Edwards, who works at Link Strategies as its Director of New Media, for identity theft targeting the Iowa Secretary of State, Republican Matt Schulz:

Zachary Edwards was arrested Friday and charged with identity theft.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety issued a news release saying Schultz’s office discovered the scheme on June 24, 2011 and notified authorities.

The criminal complaint says Edwards fraudulently used or attempted to use the identity of Schultz or Schultz’s brother with the intent to obtain a benefit. No other details were given.

Link Strategies is a well-connected consulting firm with a long relationship to Senator Tom Harkin. In fact, Link Strategies has a testimonial on its website from Harkin, extolling their work and giving LS credit for his success.

And who exactly is Zach Edwards? Ed Morrissey points out that Link Strategies scrubbed their site, trying to hide Zach Edwards’ ties. But as Ed Morrissey says, nothing ever really disappears from the internet. Glenn Reynolds found Edwards’ Link Strategies bio.

Zach Edwards got started in web-based research while based in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2006 . After a stint as a part-time political blogger and local democratic volunteer, he joined the Obama campaign in early 2007 as an intern organizing North-West Las Vegas. In September 2007, Zach joined the Obama New Media department as co-director of the Nevada New Media team and then moved on to direct New Media operations in five other primary states (New Mexico, Texas, North Carolina, and South Dakota).

During the 2008 General Election, Zach was the Iowa Director of New Media. In this capacity, he worked closely with communications, research and field operations to provide cutting-edge organizing tools and new media-based opposition research; which was emulated in battleground states across the country. After the election, Zach began working at Link Strategies as the Director of New Media, where he provides innovative web-based research tools, video analysis and production, and web-based communication tools to assist our clients.

So Zach Edwards was not a “nobody” involved in criminal activities. He was a major Democrat and Obama operative, and had been such for at least four years.

Lights Of The Season, Season 3, Part XV

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/12/15

There are many reasons for Russians to be mad these days, what with the Communist former KGB agent Putin stealing the elections via fraudulent voter numbers, but the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Mad Russian is a bit different.

Maine Voter Registration Referendum

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/11/08

Maine recently changed its law to require voter registration at least two days prior to an election. It is an obvious attempt to cut down on voter registration fraud and ultimately voter fraud. The referendum would repeal that law and return Maine to same-day voter registration, a roughly 40-year-old invitation to fraud.

As of 8:23pm local time, according to the Bangor Daily News, the ballot initiative is 56 percent yes (to repeal the 2-day requirement), 44 percent no (to keep the 2-day requirement) with 5 of 594 precincts reporting.

As of 8:31pm local time, the ballot initiative is 59 percent yes to 41 percent no, with 8 precincts reporting.

As of 8:44pm local time, the ballot initiative remains 59 yes to 41 no, with 32 of 594 precincts reporting.

As of 8:57pm local time, the ballot initiative continues 59 yes to 41 no, with 73 precincts reporting. The yes vote holds a 4,300-vote advantage.

As of 9:27pm local time, the ballot initiative remains 59 yes to 41 no, with 160 of 594 precincts reporting. Yes holds a roughly 11,000 vote advantage.

As of 9:50pm local time, the ballot initiative to overturn the 2-day voter registration requirement stands at 60 percent yes to 40 percent no, with 254 of 594 precincts reporting. The yes vote holds a 23,000 vote advantage. At this point, I’m calling it Yes. Apparently, Maine voters like taking their chances with voter registration fraud and vote fraud.

As of 10:16pm local time, the Bangor Daily News has called the ballot initiative Yes. The vote stands at 60 percent yes to 40 percent no, with 339 of 594 precincts reporting. Yes holds a 33,000 vote lead.

As of 10:56pm local time, the ballot initiative stands at 60 yes to 40 no, with 429 of 594 precincts reporting. According to the Bangor Daily News, there are 959,074 registered voters in Maine. With nearly 3/4 of all precincts reporting, 245,773 votes have been counted, or a little over 1/4 of the registered voters.

As of 11:27pm local time, the ballot initiative stands at 61 yes to 39 no, with 465 of 594 precincts reporting. Yes has a 62,000 vote lead.

Hispanics And Voter ID

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/09/17

The Democrats and the mainstream media (one and the same) have pushed this meme that Voter ID is raaaaacist and Republicans and Conservatives are raaaaacist in pushing it. The Democrats and mainstream media push the idea that Voter ID is an attempt to prevent minorities from voting. So, let’s find out how minorities feel about it, shall we? In particular, the Hispanic minority. How do Hispanics feel about Voter ID? Well, they are in very strong support of Voter ID.

The Washington Examiner (HT Hot Air Headlines) reported on a poll conducted among Hispanic voters.

As part of a broad survey of Hispanic attitudes on a variety of political issues, the poll, conducted for the conservative group Resurgent Republic, asked a sample of 1,200 voters the following question: “As you may have heard, many states are considering laws that would require registered voters to present photo identification, such as a driver’s license, in order to cast their vote. Do you support or oppose those laws?”

In Florida, 88 percent of those surveyed said they support the laws, while just ten percent oppose them. In Colorado 71 percent support the law, while 26 percent oppose, and in New Mexico, 73 percent support the law, while 25 percent oppose. In general, Hispanic voters in Colorado and New Mexico are more liberal than those in Florida. But strong majorities in all three states favor photo ID laws.

The overwhelming support for photo ID contrasts sharply with the intense opposition to such laws in the Justice Department, the Democratic party, and the civil rights establishment. In June, Democratic National Committee chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz called voter ID laws the work of Republicans “who want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws and literally — and very transparently — block access to the polls to voters who are more likely to vote Democratic.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz will get nowhere among the independent voters with that “Jim Crow” garbage, and even less traction among the people who know who set up the Jim Crow Laws, but that is not her intent. Her intent is to continue the Liberal Lie.

As Mackubin T Owens wrote for the Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs at Ashland University in 2002 (prominently linked in my sidebar):

The Democratic Party’s war against African-Americans continued after the Civil War (which many Democrats in fact opposed, often working actively to undercut the Union war effort). Democrats, both north and south fought the attempt to implement the equality for African-Americans gained at such a high cost. This opposition was often violent. Indeed, the Ku Klux Klan operated as the de facto terrorist arm of the national Democratic Party during Reconstruction.

Democrats defeated Reconstruction in the end and on its ruins created Jim Crow. Democratic liberalism did not extend to issue of race. Woodrow Wilson was the quintessential “liberal racist,” a species of Democrat that later included the likes of William Fulbright of Arkansas, Sam Ervin of North Carolina, and Albert Gore, father of Al, of Tennessee.

So no, it is not Republicans who created and maintained Jim Crow laws, but rather Democrats who did so. That is historical record that no Democrat wants the general public to know about. But moron Debbie Whatsername Schmuck’s rant. “and literally — and very transparently — block access to the polls to voters who are more likely to vote Democratic.” What is Voter ID designed to do? Block felons who don’t have voting rights, illegal aliens, people who used ACORN voter registration fraud tactics to register multiple times under multiple names and multiple addresses, dead people, pets, under-age people from fraudulently casting their illegal votes. So yes, that is a class of people who vote almost exclusively Democrat.

But Voter ID has nothing to do with “race” or ethnicity, and even the overwhelming majority of Hispanic voters know that. Voter ID has everything with the purity and authenticity and legitimacy of the vote. Actually, I want slimeballs like Debbie to continue spreading the Leftist lies among the Hispanic community because the Hispanic community as a whole knows the truth. And the Leftist lies will shove more Hispanic voters into voting Republican, where their moral positions naturally place them anyway.

Barack Obama: The Most Corrupt President Ever

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/09/15

A new scandal has broken out surrounding the Obama administration, and this could be big (just like all the others could be big). Ed Morrissey reports on a Daily Beast article breaking the story. From the Daily Beast article:

The four-star Air Force general who oversees U.S. Space Command walked into a highly secured room on Capitol Hill a week ago to give a classified briefing to lawmakers and staff, and dropped a surprise. Pressed by members, Gen. William Shelton said the White House tried to pressure him to change his testimony to make it more favorable to a company tied to a large Democratic donor.

The episode—confirmed by The Daily Beast in interviews with administration officials and the chairman of a congressional oversight committee—is the latest in a string of incidents that have given Republicans sudden fodder for questions about whether the Obama administration is politically interfering in routine government matters that affect donors or fundraisers. Already, the FBI and a House committee are investigating a federal loan guarantee to a now failed solar firm called Solyndra that is tied to a large Obama fundraiser.

Now the Pentagon has been raising concerns about a new wireless project by a satellite broadband company in Virginia called LightSquared, whose majority owner is an investment fund run by Democratic donor Philip Falcone. Gen. Shelton was originally scheduled to testify Aug. 3 to a House committee that the project would interfere with the military’s sensitive Global Positioning Satellite capabilities, which control automated driving directions and missile targeting, among other things.

Someone in the White House pressuring people to give intentionally misleading testimony under oath? Where have we heard that before? Oh, that’s right. There’s that whole Bill Clinton conviction thing. And the Obama administration strong-arming a US Air Force 4-star General to mislead Congress with his sworn testimony in a move to try to send kick-backs to a Democrat donor? In a move that could harm the US military in a major way? As Ed Morrissey said, this scandal is big enough to “make the disappearance of $535 million in taxpayer funds [with Solyndra] look like a paperwork glitch.”

And the Obama administration’s deep ties with Solyndra and the scandal surrounding that is Watergate level. The Obama administration has tried to tie the government loan to Bush, of course, since everything Obama does is Bush’s fault. But on January 9, 2009, the Bush administration rejected the loan application. And in August, 2009, the Obama administration was rushing the Office of Management and Budget to get on board with the Solyndra loan, even though OMB had very major reservations about Solyndra.

Then there’s the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation that had a summary judgment of guilty but Department of Injustice Secretary Holder decided to drop everything and throw it out because they were black. He was backing “his people” meaning blacks, and he said so explicitly. The American people weren’t Holder’s “people”. Only the black people. That’s another major scandal for the Obama administration.

But the King of Scandals is the Fast and Furious/Gunwalker/Gunrunner scandal. It makes Watergate seem like the Holiday Inn. The Obama administration intentionally allowed illegal gun sales and intentionally allowed those guns to cross the border into Mexico. And many people spoke up about it before anything happened, but to no avail. And then, with the Obama administration’s willful enabling of Mexican drug cartels’ acquisition of American guns, the Mexican drug cartels did what they do with guns. They used those guns to murder innocent Mexican civilians, Mexican law enforcement, Mexican politicians, Mexican military and innocent American civilians, American law enforcement officers. And the guns keep trickling in at murder scenes on both sides of the border.

And there are Obama’s deep ties with unrepentant terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrne, with SEIU purple people beaters, with ACORN and its systemic nationwide voter registration fraud and other systemic nationwide crimes.

Had any one of these scandals hit with a Republican President, the nation would be rocked, the White House would be rocked, and there would be three distinct groups of people in the administration:
1) Those fleeing the sinking ship.
2) Those circling the wagons (and looking for an opportunity to jump into the third group).
3) Those rushing to the stage like it’s open mic night at a country bar so they could tell their story about corruption and how they weren’t involved except to try to stop it.

But Obama is a radical Leftist Democrat, and the Liberal sycophantic mainstream media covers for Democrats; far more for Obama than previous Democrats. So none of Obama’s very major scandals are getting much airplay or print space in the legacy media. With all the cover-up the mainstream media did in the run-up to the 2008 election and continue to do, they can ill afford to stop now because they know if Obama goes down in a major scandal of such huge criminally corrupt proportions, he takes them down with him. And the Democrat Party becomes a 40-year minority party — if it survives all the scandals. So the lamestream media has to continue to cover up all the thuggish activities, all the obstruction of justice, all the kickbacks, all the pay-to-play, all the corruption that is the Obama administration.

But I suspect many political ads will come out, shedding light on these scandals come next year, even if all the many investigations don’t get anywhere (what, with the Eric Holder Department of Justice doing its level best to prevent anyone from testifying). In the end, though, I suspect Obama will skate on all his corruption and still lose reelection. History books 20 years from now will not be nearly so kind. This kind of filth doesn’t stay covered up forever.

UPDATE
The Obama administration ignored multiple warnings regarding Solyndra. Allahpundit quotes the Associated Press:

A 2009 report by the Energy Department’s inspector general warned that the DOE lacked the necessary quality control for the loan guarantee program, which was created in 2005 to support clean-energy projects that could not obtain conventional bank loans due to high risks.

In July 2010, the Government Accountability Office said the Energy Department had bypassed required steps for funding awards to five of 10 applicants that received conditional loan guarantees.

The report did not publicly identify the companies that were not properly vetted, but congressional investigators say one of them was Solyndra. The company was the first to receive a loan guarantee after the program was expanded under the 2009 stimulus law.

In March, DOE Inspector General Gregory Friedman again faulted the loan program for poor record keeping. A report by Friedman said the program “could not always readily demonstrate, through systematically organized records … how it resolved or mitigated relevant risks prior to granting loan guarantees.” According to the report, the department kept limited or no electronic data on 15 of 18 loan guarantees examined.

The Bush administration rejected Solyndra’s loan application. The Obama administration, armed with looser Porkulus Bill regulations and a Department of Energy which was woefully incapable of handling the applications themselves and compounded it by bypassing their own requirements to pass loan guarantees and chose not to keep proper records or any records at all, accepted Solyndra’s loan application. The Department of Energy Inspector General warned the Obama administration about Solyndra and others and the problems within the DOE. The General Accounting Office sent up red flares. And then Obama’s DOE reworked the loan to put the government in a worse position when it was obvious Solyndra was going under — after all the warnings.

Solyndra spokesman David Miller also did his share of glad-handing with the White House aides handling Obama’s trip.

“If you tire of the White House life and ever decide you want to move out with your best friends in [California] let me know,” Miller emailed to White House special assistant Johanna Maska the day after the visit. He added that “we could find you a great corporate gig very quickly.”

Political Cronyism, kickbacks, violating regulations to give sweetheart deals to Obama supporters. In a proper world, large numbers up and down the Obama administration would be getting hauled off to prison, very likely going all the way to the top. But this isn’t a proper world. The Left owns the media, so radical Leftist Barack Obama and his administration get cover and concealment for all their corruption.

New York 9th District Election Results

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/09/13

Expect multiple updates (if my weak internet connection holds).

The Associated Press as of 10:01pm local time has released the very first set of results.

With 4 precinct out of 512 reporting, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 55 percent to 44 percent. All 4 precincts from Queens.

UPDATE 10:28pm local time: With 27 of 512 precincts reporting, Weprin (D) leads Turner (R) 50 to 49. 26 precincts from Queens and 1 precinct from Brooklyn.

Nate Silver (HT Hot Air) set the benchmarks for Weprin at “about 54% of the votes in Queens precincts, 42% in Brooklyn precincts” to achieve a tie.

UPDATE 10:40pm local time: With 61 of 512 precincts reporting, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 56 to 44. The 53 out of 342 Queens precincts have gone Turner 54 to 46, while the 8 out of 170 Brooklyn precincts have gone Turner 71 to 29.

Sean Trende reported that Anthony Weiner (D) won the 2008 election 65 to 35 in Queens and 52 to 48 in Brooklyn.

UPDATE 11:08pm local time: With 171 of 512 precincts reporting in, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 52 to 48. With 146 of 342 Queens precincts reporting in, Weprin leads 51 to 49 and with 25 of 170 Brooklyn precincts reporting, Turner leads 71 to 28.

UPDATE 11:20pm local time: With 215 precincts reporting in, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 51 to 49. With 176 Queens precincts reporting, Weprin leads 53 to 47 and with 39 Brooklyn precincts reporting, Turner leads Weprin 70 to 30.

UPDATE 11:36pm local time: With 271 precincts reporting in, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 53 to 46. With 216 of 342 Queens precincts reporting, Weprin is leading a statistical tie 50 to 50, while with 55 of 170 Brooklyn precincts reporting, Turner leads 69 to 31.

UPDATE 11:55pm local time: THE ASSOCIATED PRESS HAS CALLED IT FOR TURNER (R).
With 338 of 512 precincts reporting, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 53 to 47. With 260 of 342 Queens precincts reporting, Weprin leads 51 to 48 while with 78 of 170 Brooklyn precincts reporting, Turner leads 69 to 31. Turner has an overall lead in the votes of 24,501 to 21,661.

UPDATE 12:12am local time: With 402 of 512 precincts reporting in, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 53 to 47. With 305 of 342 Queens precincts reporting, Weprin leads 51 to 48 while with 97 of 170 Brooklyn precincts reporting, Turner leads 69 to 31. Expect Turner’s lead to expand as the Queens precincts run out and Brooklyn’s precincts still have a way to go.

Remember, this is a district with a 3 to 1 registered Democrat advantage over registered Republicans, and a worse than national average approval rating of Obama and higher than national average disapproval rating of Obama. In a district Weiner won very handily in 2008.

UPDATE 12:37am local time: With 417 of 512 precincts reporting, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 53 to 46. With 305 of 342 Queens precincts reporting, Weprin leads 51 to 48 while with 112 of 170 Brooklyn precincts reporting, Turner leads 69 to 31.

Remember, in 2008, Weiner (D) won Queens 65 to 35 and Brooklyn 52 to 48.

UPDATE 12:52am local time: With 435 precincts reporting, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 54 to 46. As I said earlier, Turner’s lead is indeed expanding in this heavy Democrat district.

UPDATE 1:04am local time: With 442 of 512 precincts reporting, Turner (R) leads Weprin (D) 54 to 46. Of note is the fact the 37 Queens precincts that hadn’t reported in as of 12:37am still haven’t reported in as of 1:04am. Is Dana Pico’s suggestion of boxes of ballots in an IBEW Union basement a possible issue of concern? Hrmmmm.

UPDATE 1:23am local time: With 448 precincts reporting, Turner (R) continues to lead Weprin (D) 54 to 46. None of the 37 Queens precincts (or over 10 percent of Queens precincts) that were still out at 12:37am have come in yet.

UPDATE 1:54am local time: No new precincts have reported in. Turner (R) holds a 4,800 vote advantage over Weprin (D), 32,403 to 27,599.

UPDATE 2:32am local time: No new precincts have reported in. RS McCain reports that people who have been dead for several years have been mailed absentee ballots. Bob Turner has already obtained a court order to seal all paper ballots, so if things get hinky, the ballots can be cross-checked with dead people. From ABC News:

Claiming a handful of deceased voters have been mailed absentee ballots for today’s special election, an attorney for Republican congressional candidate Bob Turner told ABC News that he has obtained a court order to seal all paper ballots in New York’s 9th Congressional District, pending judicial review.

“We found five dead people, confirmed, who were mailed absentee ballots,” said Turner’s attorney, Grant Lally. “Some of these people have been dead for years.”

As no new precincts have reported in for a while, this is likely my last update.

Liberal Voter ID Philosophy Attached Elsewhere

Patron: I want to buy this AR-15.
Gun Shop Owner: Are you at least 18?
Patron: Yup, wanna see my ID?
Gun Shop Owner: No need. I trust you.
Patron: Alright. I also want to buy this .38 Special.
Gun Shop Owner: Are you at least 21?
Patron: Yup, sure am.
Gun Shop Owner: Have a nice day.

Patron: I want a case of Budweiser.
Cashier: Are you at least 21?
Patron: Yup.
Cashier: Have a nice day.

Officer: Do you have a Driver’s License, proper registration and car insurance?
Driver: Yes, I do.
Officer: Very well. Have a safe trip.

It’s not very important to check any of that stuff. After all, it’s illegal to buy rifles under 18 or pistols under 21. It’s illegal to buy beer under 21. It’s illegal to drive an unregistered car without a license and insurance. So people won’t do it. And we can trust them to be honest.

And besides that, it might be raaaaacist to demand proof of any of that. Because, somehow blacks cannot be expected to live up to the same high standards of whites.

And that is the Liberal Voter ID Philosophy tied to other issues. Do read the Liberal rants on Voter ID Laws and pay special attention to Perry’s rants.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Election Recount Shenanigans?

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/04/30

From Hot Air:

Meanwhile, the big story of yesterday (or, at least what would have been the big story had it happened in Waukesha County instead of Dane County) was the separation of 97 ballots from a ballot bag in the city of Verona. Summarizing The CapTimes’ story, the discrepancy came about when the Dane County canvassing board discovered, while recounting ballots cast in the city of Verona, there were over 90 fewer ballots present than the number that had been run through the voting machines on Election Day. A search ensued, and the ballots, rubber-banded together, turned up in the office of the Verona city clerk. Despite the loss of the chain of custody on the ballots, precinct stamps and initials established their legitimacy and they were recounted. The once-missing ballots favored Prosser by 30 votes, even though Kloppenburg carried the city of Verona by a pre-recount 2,380-1,204 margin. That irregularity also, according to the CapTimes did not change that pre-recount margin.

From the above-linked Cap Times (who call themselves “Your Progressive Voice”) story:

On Thursday afternoon official “tabulators” were busily counting ballots from the city of Verona when the votes came up more than 90 short of what the electronic readout from the voting machines said they should. That sent Verona officials on a hunt, and a rubber-banded stack of 97 ballots turned up in the office of Verona City Clerk Judy Masarik.

“There’s a table in the clerk’s office, and there was a binder and some other papers on top of the ballots,” said City Administrator Bill Burns, who found the stack.

The statewide recount, requested by challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg after her narrow loss to incumbent David Prosser, has the potential to change the outcome, so the Verona situation caused much consternation. On election night, all the ballots were supposed to be secured in sealed bags, which were then supposed to be signed by local elections officials. The seals were supposed to remain intact.

Burns found the bundle unbagged. They were bagged and he drove them to Madison. The bag had no signatures or initials.

Let’s be perfectly clear here. In a Democrat county, a bag of votes from a 2-1 Kloppenburg town was 97 votes short of what it should have been. Those 97 votes were found on the Verona city clerk’s desk under some other paperwork. The Verona city clerk’s desk, where the votes were 2-1 in favor of the Democrats’ candidate. And anyone and everyone had access. When they were added in to the full count, the tally came up as it was supposed to. But, without them, the tally would have pushed the tally 30 votes in the Democrats’ candidate’s favor.

Was it merely a mistake where people in a Democrat stronghold accidentally violated procedures designed to prevent vote fraud? Or was there something more illegal and fraudulent going on? Of course, since it was in a Democrat stronghold and the “mistake” would have favored the Democrat, there won’t be any serious lamestream media coverage or digging. Had the roles been reversed and this happened in Waukesha County, the media and Democrats and Unions (but I unnecessarily repeat myself redundantly), would be all over this like stink on a turd. But that’s different. It doesn’t fit Teh Narrative.
