Oops! UK Climate Change Czar: Humans May Not Be Responsible For Global Warming After All

Michael Miller
On May 30, 2013

Holy carbon offset, say it ain’t so, Al! The UK’s Energy and Climate Change czar said this week that although he still believes the earth’s temperature is rising, “natural phases” may be to blame.

Translation: We didn’t do it. (Al Gore unavailable for comment.) From The Telegraph:

Ted Yeo, an environment minister under John Major, is one of the Conservative Party’s strongest advocates of radical action to cut carbon emissions. His comments are significant as he was one of the first senior figures to urge the party to take the issue of environmental change seriously.

He insisted such action is “prudent” given the threat climate change poses to living standards worldwide. But, he said, human action is merely a “possible cause.”

A Poster Said in part: “Science in the Service of Ideology”
Really, what is Ideology? Well, I see it as a spoken or unspoken set of rules where everyone should act in a uniform way (don’t think for yourself, you will be wrong). You will see this on College Campii where most of this is codified to a point. Also, too many times, it’s in the eye of the beholder. What you say may in your mind be a no thinker, but to someone spoken to, OR, they were not directly addressed, but overheard while walking by, OR wanted to be insulted. I was involved in this informally when I was working (retired now and loving every bit of speaking without self policing my speech). Over six years ago I lost my right leg, a co-worker had part of his brain removed to stop seizures, and another had a lazy eye. Well, these all sound serious, but to us, they were a good source of jokes to cope with our ailments. We would laugh at each other with one liners like, “I’d like to give you a piece of my mind”, and “you don’t have a leg to stand on…” or, “who are you looking at, really” It really worked. We NEVER felt sorry for ourselves because the three of us knew that no matter how bad off we were, there was always worse. HOWEVER, people walking by thought it was just terrible how we treated each other. Our response – Get A Life. And it pissed us off that our way to cope, was disdained by assholes. And with breaking the PC Code, I introduce this:

Political Correctness: Taking Its Toll on Society

May 30, 2013 by Fred DeRuvo

In our first segment, we discussed the meaning of political correctness and origins. The trouble with political correctness is that the more you dig into it, the deeper the hole seems to become. It’s almost as though one can never quite get to the end (beginning) of the entire issue because it is so convoluted.

We know that political correctness is a way of thinking that drives a person’s actions and words. Though not necessarily legislated (in most cases), the pressure placed on individuals to be politically correct can often frustrate most people into submission. We spoke of the example of homosexuality and the fact that, in spite of no proof whatsoever, people are led to believe that all gay people are born that way. Because they are born that way, anyone who disagrees with the gay lifestyle is seen as a hater. After all, the gay person had absolutely no choice in the matter it is argued, therefore, they are being condemned for something they had no control over. How could anyone force their opinion onto a gay person that smacks of demagoguery? That is hate according to the left.

There are many examples of what political correctness has done to society. In the end, political correctness is something that robs people of independence of thought, whether their opinions are good or bad. Political correctness seeks to remake society into something else altogether so that the values and principles that once guided society are overthrown and replaced with new ones. This is done by teaching people to rely not on logic, but on their feelings. More on that in a moment.

We spoke briefly in our last segment about how the New Left has infiltrated society at all levels and works from within to recreate society. The left has done this by gathering to itself a new coalition of people made up of minorities. Women, blacks, Hispanics, as well as other ethnic groups, and gays, lesbians, transgenders – all people who have felt cast off by the mainstream of society. These individuals would come in handy for the left. They would become their “useful idiots” who would speak to the virtues that the New Left wants to see replace the old ones.
