Parades are done differently in a small town!

You’ve got to appreciate a big ol’ KW in the parade! This picture is especially for John Hitchcock.

And this is what the KW was pulling: the Albrightsville Post 294 Veterans of Foreign Wars

You’ve got to like the car for State Representative Doyle Heffley (R-PA 122nd), but that’s not Mr Heffley in the car; that’s him walking behind the car, doing what any good politician should do: throwing candy to the kids! 🙂

There were lots of cool cars in the parade; here, a dune buggy, in metal flake green.

The first of many firetrucks; the sign notes that the driver served our country for 26 years in the United States Navy.

A line of firetrucks.

Our only Republican County Commissioner, Wayne Nothstein, is an Air Force veteran.

Vintage military Jeep

How many of our soldiers have ridden in a truck like this one?

Army JROTC. It looks like the major marching with the cadets has some work to do on instilling discipline!

those pictures could be our town. even the houses look of similar period.

we had our annual ‘Halloween parade’ last weekend. it is a nighttime parade, biggest one in PA i think. fire trucks, local pageant winners, scouts, and floats… lots of floats made by local business and community groups. this year we had over 130 entries. its a blast.

mr aotc, myself and our 2 friends who have a model A ford were a staple in the parade in years past. we all dressed up like bonnie and clyde type culprits and did a skit with cops chasing us in our model A with another old keystone cop car. we got out and had shootouts at various points on the parade route. good times, good times. lol

our state rep mike kelly was in the parade. here is fun article about the parade.
