Rahm Emanuel The Chicago Thug

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2011/09/10

Back in March, 2010, I wrote about the kerfuffle between Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s Chief of Staff, and Eric Massa (D – NY).

Here’s a small portion of Massa’s (D-NY) blast, as transcribed by NBC Chicago:

“Let me tell you a story about Rahm Emanuel,” Massa said on the program. “I was a congressman in my first eight weeks; I was in the congressional gym, I went down and I worked out and I went into the showers … I’m sitting there showering, naked as a jaybird and here comes Rahm Emanuel not even with a towel wrapped around his tush, and he starts poking a finger in my chest yelling at me because I wasn’t going to vote for the president’s budget.

“Do you know how awkward it is to have a political argument with a naked man?”

You can hear Massa himself saying it here.

Massa said Rahm called him and cursed him out for voting against ObamaCare and that Massa told Rahm to do things that are anatomically impossible. Then Massa said he told Rahm to start over. “Let’s pretend you’re the White House Chief of Staff and let’s pretend I’m a Congressman.” Or something along those lines. Rahm told Massa that Massa had crossed the line with his language, to which Massa retorted “you already crossed that line first” or matters to that effect.

Well, Rahmbo’s egregious, unethical, enraged, out of control attitude and actions didn’t stop when he became Mayor of Chicago. Nope. And, again, Rahmbo is lashing out against people within his own political side of the spectrum. The Chicago Sun-Times reports the latest in Rahmbo’s out of control mad disrespect of even those on his own side of the political spectrum. (HT Hot Air Headlines)

Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis says Mayor Rahm Emanuel “exploded” at her during a conversation in his office about his signature longer-school-day effort, pointing his finger at her, yelling and telling her, “F— you, Lewis.”

“I just want to call it immense disrespect for me and the Chicago Teachers Union,’’ Lewis told the Chicago Sun-Times Friday. “I didn’t appreciate the way he talked to me.

“My father never talked to me like that. My husband’s never talked to me like that.”

The behind-the-curtain intensity of the battle was evident Friday, as Lewis described her meeting with Emanuel in the mayor’s office a few weeks ago. Sitting next to her in a chair in front of his desk, the mayor talked about adding 90 minutes to the school day, saying “I can’t have kids on the street at 2:15,” Lewis recalled.

“I called out what he was doing had nothing to do with education,’’ Lewis said. She said she told him, “So this is not about education. This is about safety. … This is babysitting and warehousing.”

At that point, the “craziness” began, Lewis said.

“He [Emanuel] got up out of his chair and started cussing at me.” Pressed for the language, Lewis said the mayor told her, “F— you, Lewis” and dropped other “f-bombs.”

As before, Rahmbo is out of control, highly disrespectful of others in leadership, unable to control his language or his intimidation tactics, and attacking people who are Democrat stalwarts. Typical, unethical, violent Rahmbo. Typical Chicago thug tactics.

Well, at least the honorable Mr Emanuel is in Chicago, where he can’t do much harm to those of us outside the Windy City. It seemed that the Obama Administration was more effective in getting its stuff passed when Mr Emanuel was Chief of Staff.

  2. Well, with his highly thuggish and unethical and arguably criminal Chicago Machine tactics, yeah, Democrats would be afraid to act on their own; instead, they would goose-step in unison according to their master’s demands. What’s interesting is some part of the lamestream media, at least at the local level, is actually reporting it — or some portions of it.

[WARNING!! CONSIDER ALL THE VIDEOS VERY NSFW (in the future, fewer videos, safer for work as the words in the video would be edited for content if written on this site) — admin]

Mayor Emanuel’s exploding “F— you!!!” at CTU President Lewis has precedents, as this link BELOW indicates (he’s “long known for his salty rants”):

In this article, you notice Rahm does NOT deny screaming “F— you!!!” at Lewis, but proudly claims they “hugged” at the end of their “intense” meeting.

“Hugging it out” at the end of an “intense”, expletive-filled meeting? Hmmmm… that sure sounds familiar. Indeed, it is, as everyone’s missing the story BEHIND the story of Mayor Potty-mouth. That would be his actual role model—-real-life brother and close confidant, Ari Emanuel, the prototype for super-agent Ari Gold, a memorable character on ENTOURAGE, HBO’s look behind the scenes of today’s Hollywood.

In addition to being the producer of ENTOURAGE, Ari Emanuel has the creators and writers of the show follow him around for dialogue to use. Emanuel freely and happily lets everyone know that the both Ari’s—himself and his fictional surrogate—are one and the same. (by the way, the fictional Ari is portrayed Chicago’s own Jeremy Piven, who won the Emmy THREE YEARS IN A ROW for his performance as Ari. That’s a tribute to Piven’s verisimilitude, no doubt.)

In an interview, Kevin Connolly, one of the other ENTOURAGE actors claimed even that Rahm and President Obama would watch the show religiously, usually together when doing so. They’ve even been trying to get Obama to make a cameo on ENTOURAGE… unsuccessfully, so far.

So if want a window into what Mayor F-bomb’s meeting with President Lewis was like, just watch the following montage

The closing clip—of Ari driving up—is Ari talking to the private school head who denied Ari’s kid admission—a sort of what-would-have-happened-if-Rahm’s-kids-got-shut-down-by-the-Lab-school.

Also, try this clip of Ari’s style of negotiation—just substitute Karen Lewis for ENTOURAGE’s Dana Gordon:

On YouTube, there’s literally HUNDREDS of home-made Ari Gold montages. From all of them, it appears that Ari Emanuel’s/Gold’s demeanor runs in the family.

Here’s some more Ari Gold hilarity:

Finally, check out the “hugging it out” at the end of a meeting:

Thanks to ENTOURAGE, “hugging it out” has become quite a popular catch-phrase and gesture of endearment between guys/bros, and apparently between an arrogant-asshole-of-a-mayor and a certain female teacher union leader.

Does Mayor Potty-mouth really think that he can handle the Chicago political scene and the folks within it the way his brother/brother’s fictional prototype handles Hollywood and its folks?
