Sorry, Israel, You’re On Your Own

We tried and failed. We on the Right worked hard to rid our government of the man who would deign to utter the words “The Future Must Not Belong to Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam”, in complete rejection of our First Amendment and complete rejection of Judaism and Christianity. We tried and failed.

And just as we Christians and the practicing Jews here in the US are having our Religious Freedoms stripped from us by the Obama administration are left further unprotected and unsafe and unfree, so are you, Israel. You’re on your own. For the next four years, you cannot count on the US to help keep you safe from the Mohammedan terrorists surrounding you who want nothing less than your total annihilation.

You are now “a nation of unwalled cities” and only Providence can help you now. You have no friendly nations to come to your rescue.

But you still have many millions of people here in the US who are praying vehemently to Adonai on your behalf. The US will fail you, and just did. But Yahweh will not. Even as the followers of the evil, genocidal, pedophiliac, burning in Sheol Mohammed redouble their efforts to destroy you, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Joseph will be there for you. As He promised.

What Our Future Holds

Having reelected a Socialist who has vowed vengeance on us and to bypass Congress and maintained a Leftist Senate which has refused to obey the US Constitution and Federal Law by refusing to write a Budget since April 2009, here are a few things I see in our future:

1. Energy inflation and food inflation (two items left off the “official” inflation rate) will continue to far outstrip the inflation rate, as the Obama administration bankrupts electricity producers and rolling black-outs become commonplace in this land of plentiful natural resources we will not be permitted to use. The inflation rate itself will necessarily heat up heavily.

2. Businesses will continue to downsize due to the undue burdens of catastrophic regulations and taxes, reducing the number of employees and turning many full-time positions into part-time positions, causing the official unemployment numbers to climb and the real unemployment numbers to skyrocket.

3. The poverty rate and dependency rate will climb higher, as fewer people work and more people hold their hands out for “ObamaMoney”, causing even greater harm to those who are the producers. The US will further cannibalize itself.

4. The National Debt will continue to skyrocket and deficit spending will once again increase year-over-year instead of decreasing, causing two more reductions in US credit ratings. The Fed, which has caused the absolutely inevitable skyrocketing inflation rate, will no longer be able to keep interest rates artificially low. The interest rates will jump 7 to 15 points in the next 4 years, causing the US debt service portion of the (unwritten) Budget to explode.

5. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare expenses will reach half the (unwritten) Federal Budget, and beyond, as each work to bankrupt themselves and the US.

6. Religious Liberty will be curtailed as Government forces Christians to either fund that which is immoral or dissolve their outreach programs. Churches will learn they cannot preach on certain subjects without fear of criminal sanctions.

7. Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Assembly, Freedom to peaceably protest the Government will be restricted. Our Second Amendment rights will be severely cut. Our rights against illegal searches and seizures will be infringed upon. The Ninth and Tenth Amendments, largely ignored now, will be blatantly curtailed.

In short, the “shining beacon on the hill” that was the Freedom and Liberty the US provided the world will have its 50,000 watt light removed and replaced with a half-watt red decorative light. The US has spent the last 30 years slipping from apathy into dependence. We are now sinking from dependence back into bondage. And it will take great men and women of steely resolve and moral strength to wrest this once great nation out of the entropic hands of the Socialists and the Dependent Class. And that means fighting both the Democrat leadership and the Ruling Class Republican leadership. Tooth and nail.

Are there enough of them left?

Pre-Election Inspiration And Reminder

As the polls have begun opening across this great land and our efforts to oust the anti-American, anti-Constitutional, anti-Christian Socialist tyrant see fruition (or not), I thought some inspirational music with a reminder should be in order.

FORT HOOD, Texas – An Army appeals court has ruled that the Fort Hood shooting suspect can have his facial hair forcibly shaved off before his murder trial.

The U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals’ opinion issued Thursday upheld the military trial judge’s decision to order Maj. Nidal Hasan to appear in court clean shaven or be forcibly shaved.

It also ruled that Col. Gregory Gross, the judge, properly found that the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act doesn’t give Hasan the right to have a beard while in uniform at trial.

Hasan has said the beard is an expression of his Muslim faith. His attorneys say they’ll appeal the ruling.

I wonder: do they have to use lather and hot water, or is a dry straight razor acceptable?

Of course, I’m sure that they will use an electric razor on this fine example of the religion of peace.

I suspect that Major Hasan’s insistence on wearing a beard is less “an expression of his Muslim faith” than it is of doing what little he can to spite the Army and the United States again. If it were truly his Muslim faith, after having launched a martyrdom attack, he would proudly plead guilty and ask for a sentence of death. Perhaps he thinks that he’ll be able to use his court martial to issue some kind of grandiose statement, but the presiding officer will quickly squelch that.

I don’t recall discussing the death penalty much on THE FIRST STREET JOURNAL, but readers of my old site will recall that I am opposed to capital punishment. Major Hasan could be sentenced to death if found guilty, and part of me would like to see that, just so we could see how the brave Islamist warrior shrinks from such a fate and appeals the sentence. But, in reality, the best sentence would be life in prison, deprived of all of his religious materials, with a crucifix hanging on his wall, forever out of his reach, and a promise to throw his body to the pigs when he finally dies. Let him languish, remembering every day as he urinates and defecates in his diaper¹ that while he may have killed fourteen people who were better than him, he is really a small and unimportant man creature, headed only for Hell.

Candace Cameron Has A Beautiful Mind

Candace Cameron-Bure is a beautiful woman, inside and out. I posted photos of her this year, alluding to one of the Holiest days of the year. That article will most likely be the most viewed article on this site this year, despite this being a political blog and this year being one of the most important political years in many decades. It was the case before the last couple days. It is much more the case now, as the last couple days added 1,000 views. So people are very much interested in her beauty.

But it’s her mind that is the most beautiful thing about her. She gave a Convocation address at Liberty University, which then posted it on YouTube in January of this year. In it, she discussed her own life and journey to living a true Christian life. She discussed how being a “good person” simply wasn’t good enough, and that she was herself in danger of Hell, but is no longer.

She’s a very good role model, someone to be looked up to and emulated as she shines the light on the One True God, coming out of a city and industry that promotes hedonistic libertine lifestyles. Shane made an excellent comment on my Candace photo article. “She has certainly aged with grace…I think what makes her so hot is what she doesn’t do….no r rated flops on her resume.” The reason why she doesn’t have any R-rated flops on her resume is because she refuses to do them. No movies glorifying immorality for her. She shared a passage from Scripture which convicted her. 1 Corinthians chapter 6, verses 9 and 10.

9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

It is because of that and other information she learned that she quit being a “good person” and chose to live a life of Christ. And she won’t be swayed by the Democrat war on women or by Democrats (even elected Democrat women) calling her not a woman, due to her righteous, God-fearing life.

Yes, Candace Helaine Cameron-Bure has a very beautiful mind. And that’s what’s most important.

The End Times Are Fast Approaching

As the Mohammedan, anti-Christian, anti-Israel, anti-Jewish uprisings and terror attacks greatly increase such as the multiple attacks on US embassies and consulates on the anniversary of 9/11 and the greatly expanded attacks since; and as the US, under Obama, has shown great weakness in the face of the Mohammedan terrorists and even animosity toward Israel, it is again important to note that all this stuff was prophesied.

I cannot spell out the upcoming events any better than Professor Johan Malan did in March of 2011, so I’ll let him spell it out.

The Russo/Arab invasion of Israel

According to Ezekiel 38 and 39, various Arab countries will attack Israel under the leadership of Russia, in an effort to bring them to their knees and wipe Israel off the map. Gog, of the land Magog, (that is modern Russia in the land north of the Caucasus Mountains) will join forces with Persia (Iran), Togarmah (Turkey), Ethiopia, Libya, and Gomer (Germany or one or other East-European nation) to invade Israel. Other nations will also join them to form a very big and formidable power.

Israel’s enemies plan to obtain the participation of Russia for this big war. To Russia there is the benefit of interests in the Middle East oil fields. They would also want to prevent China from rendering military aid to the Arabs, should Russia itself refuse to do so. Although reluctantly, Russia will, according to the Bible, agree to participate in a war of annihilation against the Jewish state (Ezek. 38:4).

The war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 is steadfastly approaching. The Lord will reveal Himself in a very definite and unmistakable way through preventing this war (Ezek. 38:16). The sudden supernatural destruction of the invading forces by fire is clearly mentioned (Ezek. 39:4-6). There will also be a very big earthquake in Israel (Ezek. 38:19).

Russia, Israel and all the nations will recognise God because of this very clear supernatural intervention. That will bring about a major change in thinking as most of the peoples of the world, including Israel, have largely lapsed into agnosticism, materialism and humanism and consequently rejected, ignored or degraded the Triune God and His Word. Virtually all of them regard Christianity to be on an equal level with the pagan religions. In a typical postmodern fashion they view the religious statements and moral guidelines of the Bible as old-fashioned, irrelevant and obsolete.

With the supernatural destruction of Israel’s enemies, the nations will acknowledge that the God of Israel and the Bible is the true God who should be feared and worshipped. That will override atheism, agnosticism and secularism. There will however be such feeble knowledge of God that they will accept the wrong person, the Antichrist, as Christ and representative of God. He will exploit the nations’ veneration for supernatural signs and, together with the false prophet, present a spectacle of signs and wonders (2 Thess. 2:9-10; Rev. 13:12-14). Humanity will accept it in reverence and awe.

The signs and wonders of the Antichrist and false prophet will be so amazing, and the claim by the Antichrist that he is a descendant of King David who was sent to the world on behalf of all faiths, will sound so convincing, that even Israel will be deceived into accepting him as their promised Messiah (John 5:43). He will claim credit for the sudden termination of the threatening war in Israel, and that will overnight propel him to the position of prince of peace and unchallenged world leader. The Gentile nations will join Israel in concluding a seven-year treaty with him and recognise him as their leader. They will follow him in amazement (Rev. 13:3-4) and hail him for delivering humanity from a threatening third world war, averting a certain economic collapse, and restoring the ailing world economy and getting it back on track.

Where are Israel’s allies and defenders? Who will come to her side? The obvious answer is nobody will come to Israel’s aid because all have abandoned her. But Providence, the One True God, will indeed do so in a very obvious manner. Enter the Anti-Christ and False Prophet to take the credit, and the 7-Year Tribulation begins.

Look at what is happening in the Middle East, in Russia, in China, in Europe, and in the US. “Study to shew thyself approved.” End Times Prophecy will happen, and is happening right before your eyes.

Obama Needs To Grow A “Big Stick”

During the moment of silence to remember 9/11, NBC decided to interview a Kardashian instead.

Muslim Brotherhood terrorists attacked the US Embassy in Egypt. And that embassy apologized to the Muslim Brotherhood terrorists for our First Amendment!

Muslim Brotherhood terrorists attacked the US Consulate in Libya, killing our ambassador.

MSNBC went out of its way to loudly declare its desire to have a Christian pastor charged with accessory to murder due to his non-violent exercising of his First Amendment rights, which MSNBC declared responsible for Muslim Brotherhood terrorists behaving like terrorists.

Of course, Obama has decided to get tough with … Israel! By refusing to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister.

While the media has very clearly coordinated their Left-wing agenda questioning of Romney over Egypt and Libya, Barack Obama refused to take any questions after reading a statement someone else prepared for him to read, as is very typical and very habitual of Obama.

Of course, two people spoke out very clearly in defense of the US and our Constitution.

Spot-on. It is insane — insane – that we should feel the need to tiptoe around the tender feelings of violent, overzealous radical Islamists (or, as some in the MSM now seem to be oh-so-subtly calling them, “ultraconservative” Islamists — really, guys?). Freedom of religion and freedom of speech are human rights, and I don’t mean that like ‘universal healthcare’ is supposed to be a human right (which, by the way, it isn’t). They are undeniable, inalienable, universal rights — absolutely no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it — and for representatives of the United States to get all sheepish and showcase their willingness to be bullied on that point makes me extremely nervous, to say the least.

Apparently President Obama can’t see Egypt and Libya from his house. On the anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks ever perpetrated on America, our embassy in Cairo and our consulate in Benghazi were attacked by violent Islamic mobs. In Cairo, they scaled the walls of our embassy, destroyed our flag, and replaced it with a black Islamic banner. In Benghazi, the armed gunmen set fire to our consulate and killed an American staff member. The Islamic radicals claim that these attacks are in protest to some film criticizing Islam. In response to this, the U.S. embassy in Cairo issued a statement that was so outrageous many of us thought it must be a satire. The embassy actually apologized to the violent mob attacking us, and it even went so far as to chastise those who use free speech to “hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” (Funny, the current administration has no problem hurting the “religious feelings” of Catholics.)

But where is the president’s statement about this? These countries represent his much touted “Arab Spring.” How’s that Arab Spring working out for us now? Have we received an apology yet from our “friends” in the Muslim Brotherhood for the assault on our embassy?

It’s about time our president stood up for America and condemned these Islamic extremists. I realize there must be a lot on his mind these days – what with our economy’s abysmal jobless numbers and Moody’s new warning about yet another downgrade to our nation’s credit rating due to the current administration’s failure to come up with a credible deficit reduction plan. And, of course, he has a busy schedule – with all those rounds of golf, softball interviews with the “Pimp with the Limp,” and fundraising dinners with his corporate cronies. But our nation’s security should be of utmost importance to our Commander-in-chief. America can’t afford any more “leading from behind” in such a dangerous world. We already know that President Obama likes to “speak softly” to our enemies. If he doesn’t have a “big stick” to carry, maybe it’s time for him to grow one.

Philly Mafia Plans Resolution Against Chick-fil-a

Did I write “mafia”? I meant the Philadelphia city council, which, like many other political leaders in big liberal cities, is acting in a manner reminiscent of organized crime, declaring that a privately owned company must change its behavior in order to operate in those cities, which is a tactic similar to what organized crime does, known as “extortion”, which is a felony. When I first wrote a post about Dan Cathy stating that the company doesn’t support gay marriage back on the 20th, I had no idea of the true extent of the liberal apoplexy to come

(Fox News) The Philadelphia City Council will consider a resolution condemning Chick-fil-A for what one city leader called “anti-American” attitudes that promote “hatred, bigotry and discrimination.”

Interesting: I thought the anti-American attitude was one of stopping both free speech and freedom of association. Silly me. Do you see Conservatives rushing out to abandon Amazon due to Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, donating $2.5 million to gay marriage? Nope. If we were truly upset, we’d just create a competing company. But, we all know that Lefties are pretty lose with their definition of “anti-American.”

City Councilman Jim Kenney sent a letter to Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy telling him to “take a hike and take your intolerance with you.”

“My effort is to allow people to understand that in certain segments of corporate America there are folks who are using their dollars to promote hatred, bigotry and discrimination,” Kenney told Fox News.

He is introducing a resolution to “condemn this anti-American attitude of trying to deny civil liberties that every American enjoys.”

Kenney joined the mayors of Boston, Chicago and now San Francisco in blasting the Atlanta-based company for supporting a biblical definition of marriage – a union between one man and one woman.

In Liberal World, one is not allowed to disagree with the tenants. Diverging opinion are verboten, comrades, and must be squashed. It’d be interesting to see what would happen if the company pulled all their stores from the liberal cities, reducing jobs and tax money. Other companies might be reticent to build in those cities, since the possibility of being extorted by the politicians would be ever present, and what business owner wants the extra hassle? Is it any wonder job creation is low, what with crazy liberal politicians out there (among other reasons)?

Changing Skyline: Unions, developers stuck in standoff over Philadelphia building

It was early March when the siege began at the Goldtex construction site just north of Center City, and it has continued all through this brutally hot summer – almost five long months. Workers have been beaten, car tires slashed. Delivery trucks are blocked for hours. This week, two people were arrested on assault charges. Neighborhood residents are afraid to walk near the building.

If a gang held a Philadelphia house hostage for this long, you can bet it would have been all over the news and politicians would be issuing releases by the gross. The events at Goldtex are part of a union protest, so there is practically a Cone of Silence hanging over this tense and increasingly violent standoff.

Philadelphia, we need to talk.

It hardly needs to be said that Philadelphia is an old-school union town, one of the last left in America where muscle and tradition rule unquestioned. Until two thirtysomething developers, Michael and Matthew Pestronk, began converting a 10-story loft building at 12th and Wood Streets into 163 apartments, no one had dared in decades to build a major project here without an all-union workforce.

Post Brothers are using some union and some non-union labor, having offered contracts to union carpenters, electricians and demolition crews, but did not want to contract with the laborers union; to do so would have grossly inflated costs through overly-high wages and requirements for more laborers than the job required.

The Nasty Front Lines of Pay to Play

I have to imagine that even pro-union folks from some cute little Midwest town would be absolutely floored at the abject thuggery that goes down here in Philadelphia. When you meet wildly anti-union people (like me), it’s not because we don’t understand the history of the need to organize or the fact that some companies do take advantage of workers. It’s because we have faith that free market and healthy competition has corrected that need. And it’s because we have been direct recipients of the brand of justice unions here see fit to dish out. Screaming in your face is the best of it and handing out pictures of your children or your wife photoshopped in some bizarre sex act, property damage and bodily harm the worst of it.

The Man is now on a job so contentious it’s made national news. He is escorted in daily by Blackwater security.

Do you remember the fire that just took the lives of two firefighters from my brother’s station? Well, that fire took place in an abandoned building that was neglected by the owners and the city that became a den of iniquity and a major health risk for the community…and ultimately two public servants.

This building The Man is at (pictured) is similar. Dubbed “the Graffiti building” by local residents it is a rat infested, homeless flop house, eye sore that has the potential to be a health/fire hazard to the surrounding residents. They are THRILLED that this building is being revitalized. Turned into posh apartments by two ballsy guys from Virginia that refuse to play by the Pay to Play rules here in the city of brotherly love. Kudos to them for standing strong.

We’ve heard that the unions, all of them, are “more riled up than they have been in 25 years.” They can’t believe these guys aren’t caving.

Yesterday, escorted by 2 Blackwater guys and a detective, as The Man drove in to the fenced parking area through a throng of 40+ union members (the masons and the carps that particular day) the guys were screaming various things like, “we know who you are” and mumbled threats…but the two that always floor me…? “We’re fighting for your living wage!” The guys at The Man’s company get paid on the exact scale the union guys do, except they don’t have to pay union dues. Duh. And, “You’re taking food out of my kids’ mouths!” Ummm, you dolt, what about my kids?! Are they supposed to starve? If it’s between my kids and your kids…in what bizarro realm am I concerned about yours?

I wish I could have some Blackwater guys so I could go pick the brains (?!) of these lemmings…

Mrs Saffron noted in her story that the government officials in Philadelphia are remarkably silent about the Goldtex project and the union thuggery that has slowed the project down to where it is four months behind schedule. They have plenty of time to worry that the owners of Chick-Fil-A² are Christians who believe in marriage as it has been known throughout the Christian world for 2,000 years but seem remarkably unconcerned that a private developer is losing money having to defend against illegal thuggery by union picketers or that hard-working men in Philadelphia have been physically attacked, and had their property vandalized by the union goons.³

Chick-Fil-A has about 1,600 restaurants nationwide, and employs tens of thousands of people. Chicago Alderman Proco “Joe” Moreno apparently has the legal authority to deny Chick-fil-A a building permit in his Ward, and plans to exercise it due to the statements by company President Dan Cathy. That there will be dozens of people in the first Ward who will not get the jobs which Chick-fil-A planned to create in the Alderman’s district is of apparently less moment than political correctness. That Chicago has the highest murder rate of all of the world’s major cities and that bringing a few more jobs to the Windy City might help just a little is also of less importance.

Now, if Chick-fil-A was denying the benefits required by state law to employees in same-sex “marriages,” there could be some legal action undertaken against the company. However, after a reasonable internet search, I have failed to find a single reference to the company doing that or being accused of doing that.

I am not one of those who will either boycott Chick-fil-A for its owners’ political and religious views or who will take a special effort to eat there;⁴ there isn’t a Chick-fil-A restaurant around here, although there is one in the Lehigh Valley Mall, where I get at least four times a year. Former Governor Sarah Palin (R-AK) did make a special stop to buy at Chick-fil-A, as noted by Donald Douglas, while William Jacobsen of Le*gal In*sur*rec*tion noted the amazing display of civility amongst our friends on the left concerning Mrs Palin’s visit. We know that the left hate sexism, because they have so often told us so, but somehow the actual evidence of such seems sparse.

³ – The editors of The Philadelphia Inquirer did run the story, but it’s pretty deeply buried in the print edition, in the Home & Design section published Friday. Mrs Saffron was not terribly sympathetic to the unions’ positions, but she did manage to throw in some liberal platitudes, such as, “It’s also worth pointing out that unions play a valuable role in protecting American workers from exploitation and abuse by employers, especially in these days of the suffering 99 percent.” She did note that the city has lost many substantial projects due to the inflated costs and political stranglehold the unions have created.
⁴ – I will not cease using amazon.com simply because the founder, Jeff Bezos, donated $2.5 million to support same-sex “marriage,” something I see as ridiculous, sinful and a contradiction in terms. I use amazon.com because it is convenient, useful and provides me with sales-tax free shopping.

How Obama Loses In 2012: Obama’s Actions

This is a follow-up to my previous article. (Again, originating as a comment on The First Street Journal.)

According to the US Census Bureau, the fastest growing part of the US is the South (not to be confused with the southwest). And, with the Census Bureau’s delineations, the South consists of 38 percent of the US population. (There are four regions.) The Northeast and the Midwest combine for 122.2 million people. The South alone stands at 114.6 million people. And the West has 71.9 million people. And nationally, Democrats are pretty much giving up on the South as a whole, ceding basically 38 percent of the electoral college to Republicans right out the gate. That means Democrats must win the states in the other 3 regions basically 9 – to – 1 (by electoral college numbers). An 8 – to – 1 Democrat win in the other 3 regions would mean a Democrat loss nationally.

So, the Democrat Party, with Obama as its titular head, has given up on the South. How is he doing with the rest of the nation? Reports have him giving up on white, middle class blue-collar workers, who did a lot of work to get him elected in 2008. Oops. Lost votes, some of which will vote Republican this time and others who will not vote for President or will cast a protest vote for a Third Candidate. Baraka alienated a great many Catholics, who traditionally vote Democrat, by telling the Roman Catholic Church that it absolutely must commit immoral acts if it wants to continue its charitable work. Big oops. Baraka alienated a not-so-small number of black pastors, who lead black churches (and thus, their flocks give much heed to what they say) by declaring himself a homosexual “marriage” proponent. Big oops.

Now, while The RCC constituency which traditionally vote Democrat could very well swing Republican — doing great harm to Barack’s goal of winning a second Presidential election — the black church constituency will likely not vote Republican in any major way. There will be more blacks voting Republican this time around than last time (percentage-wise), as Obama won an historic 97 percent of the black vote (making blacks the most lock-step, monolithic voting sub-group in US history), but overall, this huge outcry of horror from black pastors will mostly suppress the black vote. Many of these black pastors, who hold sway in their churches, have declared they cannot, at all, vote for Obama, but they will not, at all, vote for a Republican. That leaves not voting or protest voting Third Party. And Obama loses those votes, without picking up any votes (only scads of cash from rampant radical Leftists).

Every step of the way, these past 3+ years, Obama has alienated one base sub-group after another, without adding a single sub-group to his re-election bid. Every state’s voting output will shift more Republican as a result. Every state. It’s only a matter of degree. It’s called “focusing on the margins” and it’s not looking good for Obama at all. However, it is looking very beneficial for the survival of the US.

Don’t Tell The Liberal Trolls

But elected Democrats are jumping parties to the Republican Party. Nice Deb has a lengthy, but far from exhaustive, list of elected Democrats running for reelection as Republicans.

If it were just one or two stories, I wouldn’t think much. Pols that never quite fit in in the first place, finally leave their party – it happens – jumping Jeff Jeffords, Joe Lieberman, and Arlen Specter come to mind.

But what we’re seeing here in the age of Obama – is something else altogether. He was supposed to stop the rise of the oceans but it looks like he’s stopping the rise of the Democrat party.

Am I exaggerating? Just look at all these recent defections – I think I detect a pattern, here.

Another important matter to make sure you don’t tell the Liberal trolls: Not all the elected Democrats who are becoming Republicans are white. Also, not all of them are men. Just what are the racist Democrats (and they are racist, since they call non-white Republicans “race traitors”) and the sexist Democrats (and they are sexist, since they declare Republican women to not be authentically female) to do?

This harkens back to the 1994 Republican wave, where Democrats jumped that sinking ship to become Republicans. But, as Nice Deb asked, are they really leaving the Democrat Party? Or did the Democrat Party leave them? Just as the 1994 jump showed, and as Rick Perry who went from being a Democrat Texas Legislator to being a Republican Texas Governor, and as Ronald Reagan who went from being a Democrat to being a Republican, it isn’t they who left the Democrats, but the Democrats who have left them.

The Democrat Party is quickly becoming the Democrat Socialist Party. And that leaves little room for sane people. Very little room for sane people within the Democrat fold.

Obama’s Political Games Backfiring UPDATE!

Obama tried to play a political game with his Federal Budget proposal, which was not meant to pass but only to paint Republicans in a bad light. It went down to defeat in the Democrat-held US Senate 97-0. Obama’s naked political ploy fizzled badly. So, not learning from shooting himself in the foot, he tried the exact same thing the next year. It went down to defeat in the US House over 400-0. In neither case did a single Congresscritter, Republican or Democrat, vote for it. Ignominious defeat for the cynically hyper-partisan Obama who was looking or easy political talking points. It’s hard to call Republicans obstructionists when even the Democrats vote against your crap sandwiches.

Then came the whole “stay at home mothers don’t do any real work” back-fire fiasco. And his Administration’s direct frontal attack on Catholics, who are a major Democrat voting bloc. Again, Obama’s corrupt Leftist machine had failed to realize the US is not, at all, a radical Leftist political environment but rather a center-right one. Will Obama and his handlers ever learn? Apparently not.

With a clear majority of States in the Union voting for Traditional Marriage, including California, Obama has come out in favor of homosexual “marriage”. And it’s already backfiring. Jeff Poor at The Daily Caller (HT Hot Air Headlines) writes about Socialist thug and Union Boss Richard Trumka’s reaction and warning:

On Friday’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt” on Bloomberg TV, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka acknowledged that President Barack Obama’s recent announcement that he personally supports same-sex marriages could hurt his popularity this fall among labor leaders and union members.

Professor Jacobson reports on Indiana’s Democrat candidate for US Senate running away from Obama as fast as he can:

If you want a sense of how Obama’s cynical, money-driven gay marriage evolution ploy will play in key states Obama won in 2008, look not only at North Carolina’s vote Tuesday, but also at how fast Joe Donnelly is running away from Obama on the issue[.]

In order for Obama to try to drive a wedge issue in the election cycle, dividing the people instead of uniting them, and in order to get money his campaign desperately needs, Obama is running people off, people Obama needs to vote for him (and for down-ticket races). As Trumka said, Obama will lose some of the blue-collar Union vote because of this. Obama is also in danger of losing a couple points of the black vote, a couple points of the Hispanic vote, and more than a couple points of the Catholic vote. But he made Hollywierd happy enough to open their purses at a 40-grand-a-plate dinner (can anyone say “one percenters”?) immediately after his flip-flop-flip announcement.

Joe Manchin, the Democrat Senator from WV, has already declared that he doesn’t know if he’ll be voting for the Democrat Obama in November or not. Many Democrats are in danger of losing their jobs (and many already have) due to the whole ObamaCare fiasco, so they are busily trying to avoid getting tied to that.

Obama’s driving wedges into the population, alright. And he’s hurting people’s election bids with his purposefully hyper-partisan antics. But what he and all his radical Leftist handlers don’t understand is he’s hurting Democrat election chances and improving Republican election chances.

Keep talking, Baraka, keep talking. The more you talk, the more potential votes you lose.

A Texas pastor who once led the Southern Baptist Convention in introducing a resolution that recognized Obama’s historic achievement has voiced his displeasure with the president’s support and approval of gays, reports the Associated Baptist Press.

Dwight McKissic, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, wrote in a blog on May 9 that Obama’s statement is worthy of incurring wrath of biblical proportions. . . . “President Obama has betrayed the Bible and the Black Church with his endorsement of same-sex marriage. The Bible is crystal clear on this subject. . . . The moral impact of this day and decision is equal to the military impact of al-Queda when they attacked the Twin Towers on 911.”

(Hat-tips: News One and Fox Nation.) This is something I think most secularists don’t understand about us “bitter Bible-clingers.” We are People Of The Word, servants redeemed by unmerited grace who therefore owe as a sacred obligation the duty to defend the Word.

RS McCain has it right. Christians (true Christians, not the Leftist false version of Christians) absolutely defend the Word of the Almighty Creator. And black Church-goers most definitely pay attention to their pastors, oftentimes moreso than do white Church-goers. And this is something Barack Obama does not understand, among a great many things Barack Obama does not understand. He doesn’t understand American culture and tradition and religious value, but what he does vaguely understand, that he detests virulently.

Obama has, for many years, acted in a very hyper-partisan manner in the hopes of benefiting himself politically, driving wedges into American society in the hopes of dividing American society so that he can conquer American society. And he is failing miserably because he is constantly misjudging — out of arrogant ignorance — the value structure of We the People. As I have shown above, Obama’s multiple hyper-partisan “divide the public” wedge issues for political gain have been badly mis-aimed. Each wedge issue he throws out cuts out some of the support he previously had, and harms Democrats further down the ticket. “The greatest, wisest President since sliced bread” continues to prove his arrogant ignorance and his narcissistic delusions of grandeur, to not only his own detriment but to the detriment of Democrats as a whole.

We’ve heard it all before. The outrageously outraged hate-filled emotionalist attacks. The lie-filled over-the-top propaganda designed to keep the brainwashed in line. The absolutely absurd claims by the radical Leftists in Congress and the White House and in mainstream media. Karl, of Patterico’s Pontifications and Hot Air, has a linktastic article of Congressional Democrats making many outrageous and dishonest claims about Republicans very much in line with the above lies about Republicans. And do read his linktastic article at either Hot Air or Patterico’s Pontifications. He completely destroys two WaPo liars’ radical, extreme Leftist, lie-filled, hyper-partisan accusations (such as the fact they ignored the far Left Democrats throwing centrist Democrats out of office for being too centrist and not Leftist enough during this Primary season).

*Important sidebar: Republican does not equal Conservative. And Republican Office-holder most definitely does not equal Conservative. As multiple years of surveys show. Grass-roots self-declared Conservatives and Moderates both agree by overwhelming majorities that the Republican Leadership is to the Left of and out of touch with the Conservative base, while a plurality of self-declared Liberals falsely believe the Republican Leadership represents Conservatism.

As I noted previously, a study proving what Conservatives already know, that Conservatives understand Liberals but Liberals don’t understand Conservatives, has given some insights to this phenomenon. Quoting the above-linked Tina Korbe’s explanation provided by one of the researchers:

Haidt says conservatives speak a broader and more encompassing language of six moral values, while liberals focus on a narrow subset of those values.

This is very true. The political Left has a very narrow view on nearly everything, while the political Right has a much broader, far more encompassing view. And the political Left are, more often than not, incapable of expanding their view, if even to try to understand Conservatives.

I have previously quoted Congressman Colonel Davy Crockett multiple times, most recently in my pwnage of the historically illiterate Leftists Perry Hood and Molly. No very brief quote of Davy Crockett’s words will do him justice, so do read the entire multi-paragraph quote. But for a very brief and absolutely incomplete quote:

“Yes, I know you; you are Colonel Crockett. I have seen you once before, and voted for you the last time you were elected. I suppose you are out electioneering now, but you had better not waste your time or mine. I shall not vote for you again.”

Like all the things Leftists say about Republicans, Conservatives, and Libertarians? Why yes, yes it does. Does it entice you to actually read and understand his words? If you’re a historically illiterate hyper-partisan Leftist like Perry Hood or Molly, no. But if you’re interested in facts, histo-facts, the Constitution, the Declaration, and Truth, then it should. Liberals absolutely hate when Conservatives and Libertarians reference the Declaration, the Constitution, the words of the Founders and Framers in order to destroy Liberal talking points and agenda items. Liberals automatically hand-wave Conservatives and Libertarians as “one of those churlish fellows who care for nobody but themselves, and take bluntness for independence,” just as Congressman Colonel Davy Crockett had admitted he wanted to do. But, unlike Liberals, Congressman Colonel Davy Crockett was honest enough to actually pay attention and learn the errors of his ways. And then, to work to correct his errors.

It is a documented fact that Conservatives are much more generous than Liberals in voluntarily contributing their time and hard-earned money to help the aged and infirm, the hungry, the sick and disabled, the youth, and similarly “downtrodden” folk. “Religious” Conservatives are more generous than “non-religious” Conservatives; likewise, “religious” Liberals are more generous than “non-religious” Liberals.

Kristof admits to being “unhappy with my findings,” echoing sentiments from the researcher Brooks:

“When I started doing research on charity,” Mr. Brooks said, “I expected to find that political liberals – who, I believed, genuinely cared more about others than conservatives did – would turn out to be the most privately charitable people. So when my early findings led me to the opposite conclusion, I assumed I had made some sort of technical error. I re-ran analyses. I got new data. Nothing worked. In the end, I had no option but to change my views.”

They absolutely destroy the Leftist propaganda, and destroy Crockett’s self-admitted wrong belief. Across the board, Conservatives are clearly more generous and more personally involved than Liberals. And there is that Personal Responsibility thing again, something Liberals severely lack and something Conservatives have in spades. For more information, a simple Google search provides over 1.6 million results, including a New York Times opinion piece on page 1 of the search, written by an author who was taken aback by his findings proving Liberals are less charitable than those evil, greedy, selfish Conservatives.

The reason for the confusion is as simple for logical people to see as it is baffling for Liberals. It is also why Liberals absolutely believe the propagandastic lies about Conservatives promulgated by the radical Left. And it is something Crockett learned and subsequently expressed far more eloquently than can I.

As the previously noted study showing Conservatives understand Liberals but Liberals cannot understand Conservatives showed, Conservative moral positions are broad-based among the various moral groupings, while Liberal moral positions focus in on a very narrow subset. Liberals are far more close-minded in the realm of morals and cannot understand that which they cannot even see.

Liberals live under the twin fallacies of the false equivalency and the false dichotomy. In all the Liberals’ attacks against Conservatives for being “selfish”, “greedy”, “uncaring”, the twin fallacies of the false equivalency and the false dichotomy can be seen in full expression. An example of that twin-fallacy in action:

If you are against the Government feeding the poor, you are against feeding the poor. Likewise, if you are for feeding the poor, you are for the government feeding the poor.

As shown above, Conservatives are far more personally involved in charitable activities than are Liberals, thus proving the lie to the Liberal twin-fallacy talking point. But, as also shown above, Liberals in general are incapable of broadening their scope of understanding to accept anything beyond their own narrow viewpoints. And the greatest danger is that Conservatives and Libertarians will accede to the Liberal fallacies, thus inappropriately accepting Liberal redefinitions (hello, Big Brother) while trying to fight off other Liberal lies. Unfortunately, Hoagie has fallen victim to that Leftist ploy while fighting the Socialist Perry Hood over on The First Street Journal.

Remember, to the Left, those who oppose Government providing “stuff” to the “poor” oppose providing “stuff” to the “poor”, and corollarily, those who favor providing “stuff” to the “poor” favor Government providing “stuff” to the “poor”. It’s the false equivalence and false dichotomy married fallacy in which nearly all Liberals live. And it’s that married fallacy Hoagie accidentally allowed to be true, inappropriately ceding ground to Liberals that the Liberals had no right to claim. Allow me to explain.

First, and simply:
Agreeing that there are those who are suffering and in need of help does not at all mean the Government should step in and help.
Corollarily, declaring the Government has no business helping those who are suffering does not at all mean those who are suffering should be left to suffer.
Related: The US Constitution does not permit Government to step in. Period. (Full-stop, for those 17 percent reading this site who most likely speak the King’s English.)

Those who actually read Crockett’s words will have learned a thing or two about the Constitutional Conservative position. But I highly doubt Liberals and “Progressives” (read Socialists) such as Perry Hood or Molly will even bother with taking the time necessary to learn from history (hint, Molly). They are doomed to repeat the failures of the emotionalist, logic-free Left. Remember, it is a proven fact that Conservatives are more generous with their own time and money than are Liberals. And Conservatives want Government out of the business of wealth-redistribution. And these two positions are not at all in contradiction one with the other.

And here we get to Perry Hood’s lie-filled “Christian in name only” bovine biproduct. Perry Hood is a Socialist who has declared Christian doctrine to be brain-washing and mythology, and has rejected the deity of Christ Jesus. But Perry Hood, like all his Alinskyite mentors, falsely claims Jesus preached Socialism, and Government-forced Socialism at that. Despite all the parables that declared those who don’t have will have what they do have taken from them and be cast into Outer Darkness, and those who do have will be given ever more. And despite all the teachings declaring charitable giving to be a matter of the heart and not a matter of coercion.

While it is also important to give of yourself without seeking approbation from the people around you, and that would include blog readers, I am going to relate a bit of personal history. I am completely anonymous to most readers of this blog. Is my name here a pseudonym? Is it my real name? Most people don’t know, and will never know. So my speaking of myself in this medium does not allow for personal glory. But it does allow for a clear example of what I’m talking about.

I have never made as much as 35k in a single year. Never. And most of my adult life, I’ve been below 25k. So I’ve been, for the most part, one of the “poor” or very low level “middle class”. In 1988, I believe it was, I decided to provide four Thanksgiving Dinners to those less fortunate. And my family of three had an income of below 17k that year. I went out and bought four turkeys, four 5-lb bags of potatoes, four stuffing mixes, eight cans of cranberry sauce, eight cans of green beans, four aluminum turkey roasting pans. And, noting that there was a special on turkeys for Thanksgiving where one could buy a turkey for the outrageously cut-rate price of 25 cents a pound (or so), I made it a point that I paid full price. It was the principle. I wasn’t buying a single turkey and I wasn’t buying them for myself; therefore, I wasn’t entitled to the cut-rate price.

My pastor gave me the addresses of four needy families for me to personally deliver the Thanksgiving Dinner fixings, despite my very strong desire to give them to him so he could deliver them. He wanted it to be directly from me to them, while I wanted the anonymity and absolutely complete non-glorious attribute of nobody knowing nothing. But, c’est la vie. My pastor warned me that one of the families was to absolutely not be given any cash whatsoever and only food. A single mother on Welfare and Section 8 housing, who was completely irresponsible personally and would spend the money on things she should not be spending money on. But there was another family, an actual family who were members of the Church, who my pastor sent me to with my own gift of charity. That family of four was far better off than mine. Far better off. But they had hit a very severe patch of rough times and were very much in need of help. And, seeing the man’s eyes and face and body language when I told him I would be delivering the food the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and seeing his eyes and face and body language when I delivered the food was a memory I will never forget. He was absolutely ashamed of himself and absolutely ashamed to be accepting free food. But he accepted the free food.

I will never forget the shame that man felt. And I will never forget the nonchalant, almost entitled, expression of the Section 8 Housing single mother as I delivered her free food.

But on to the more extended point.

It is entirely possible for a Conservative to absolutely and completely reject any idea for Government to aid the downtrodden, while absolutely and completely supporting aid to the downtrodden. There is no contradiction, whatsoever. In fact, it is indeed in holding to Constitutional Conservative values and Christian values.

Liberals, who absolutely demand the Government spend billions of dollars to support those the Liberals claim are downtrodden and helpless, do not willingly provide their time and money in amounts comparable to Conservatives. Conservatives, who absolutely demand the Government has no right to spend tax-payer dollars in that manner, willingly provide their time and money in amounts far exceeding that of Liberals. And that’s a documented fact.

But you don’t have to look at dry documentary evidence. Just look around your communities. Catholic hospitals. Methodist hospitals. Presbyterian hospitals. Catholic charities. Inter-Church Social Services. Inter-Church food pantries. Various denominational housing for the homeless. Red Cross. Labor Day Jerry Lewis Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy. Blood drives. Food drives. Habitat for Humanity. ASPCA fund-raisers. UNICEF. United Way. Schools sending their kids to sell candy bars. Big Brother/Big Sister. Salvation Army bell ringers. These are all examples of people taking it upon themselves to help others. And there are many more.

But when Government gets involved and starts to put regulations that violate the principles of the various charities, those charities close down instead of kowtowing to the almighty Government (ObamaCare and its unconstitutional First Amendment violations regarding the Catholic Church and others, for one recent example). And when Government starts to pump in all manner of strings-free (supposedly) money, charities die. Prior to Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, the US was a rapidly expanding, rapidly wealth-growing nation without the Government providing everything for millions. After Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson, a great many charities died and Government took over.

And the Government take-over provided all manner of guaranteed votes for the Democrat (read leech) Party. Perry Hood accidentally let loose the public secret that all this money to the “poor” from the Government came with a string: You have to be beholden to the Government that allows you to be a Personally Irresponsible leech. If you don’t kowtow low enough to the Government and the Democrat Party which made the “free lunch” possible, you are absolutely derelict in your duty to be appropriately appreciative of Big Nanny Government. WOWZERS! What a massive noose around your neck the Socialist Left (such as Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama) have placed! And if you even deign to take that noose off your neck? You have to be destroyed by all means possible! Legal or illegal, ethical or unethical.

If Christian Charities give you the support you need in times of trouble, they have expectations, too. They expect you to be Personally Responsible enough to stand up and take care of yourself. They do not demand, nor to they expect, any kowtows. Their glory is in helping you help yourself and in helping you become totally independent of any need. The Leftist/Statist Government? Why, if you don’t scrape your nose when you bow down, you haven’t done it right! Just ask Perry Hood or any of the other radical Leftists (provided they ever are accidentally honest).

No, the massive majority of American history shows success as a result of personal actions and not Government actions. In fact, George Washington had it right.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

Today’s Democrat Party, led by a massive amount of Socialists, worse than merely not being your grandparents’ Democrat Party, are totally in love with Big Government. In fact, the bigger the better for Democrats. And the more people who get “free stuff” from Government, the more likely Democrats are to be re-elected. The most successful, most free, wealthiest nation on Earth and in History, which has provided the greatest opportunity for poor to become wealthy; that nation is dying as a result of Democrats promising “freebies” to voters and then demanding unquestioned allegiance from those voters who got those “freebies”. No, I do not approve of Government ever stepping in to “help the poor”. Or whatever group the Leftists think need tax-payer dollars fed into it. I do not approve of Government exceeding its Constitutional limits. But Barack Obama has already declared an aversion to the “negative rights” which the US Constitution uses to prevent the Government from being that fearful taskmaster. That fearful taskmaster that Big Government Statist Republicans and Democrats have created for all of US.

Down on your luck? Don’t turn to Government. Turn to private charities. Government will demand too much from you while keeping you dependent. Private charities will demand that you stand up and become personally responsible. They don’t want your worship.

If someone is down on their luck, do I think they should be able to seek aid?
YES.
Do I think they should seek aid from Government?
NO. ABSOLUTELY NO. NEVER. NO.

I believe we should return to the US Constitution and get Government out of all its unconstitutional “for the poor” programs.

I recognize three points regarding my plan:
1) It would be very painful.
2) It would be very liberating.
3) It will never happen so long as Socialist Democrats and Ruling Class Republicans rule government, the horrible taskmaster.

And what is my plan, exactly? It’s a mere two-point plan. And it would return America to its glory days. Those two points:
1) Eliminate any and every Government program that “helps the poor”.
2) Eliminate 99.95 percent of all regulations on private charities.

That’s it. That’s all. If such were done, the severely atrophied private charities would suddenly grow to retake their rightful places, which Government usurped. If such were done, all Governments would suddenly go from devastatingly deficit spending to having an outrageously large revenue surplus. If such were done, businesses would start booming. If such were done, the “poor” would find it far easier to move up the economic ladder, as was historically the case — which mad the USA the wealthiest, most free, most desirable destination on Earth.

But if such were done, politicians would lose their massive power. (And is that a negative or a positive?)

I’m on Arutz-7′s mailing list. I get Israel News Network mailings and mailings from some of their advertisers. And intentionally so. I got an email from people who want to teach me Hebrew online (and I would love to learn the Holy language of Hebrew but have neither the time nor the financial ability currently) announcing the celebration of 64 years after Israel’s “birth” which is, actually, Israel’s rebirth since Israel herself is thousands of years old. In that email was an offer of free Israel photos if I fill out a form. I did so. Beautiful photos.

64 years ago, Jewish people who had suffered one of the most aggressive attempts to annihilate Jewry in the history of the world came flowing into their ancient homeland against all odds and against the wishes of the international community. From that point until today, and continuing onward into the future, Israel has had to defend herself from the massively superior — both numerically and in firepower — enemies in the region and across the world who want nothing short of the total annihilation of Israel and Jewry. And Israel has been extraordinarily successful, beyond that which is even remotely humanly possible. Because Adonai is with them. Because Yahweh will not allow His Chosen People to be extinguished. Period. (Full stop, for those using The King’s English.) Not only has Israel succeeded beyond human capacity in defending herself from all her foes wishing her total destruction, she has also turned a barren, life-killing desert wasteland into “a land flowing with milk and honey.”

Barren land that Israel gains becomes agriculturally rich and self-sustaining land in very short time. And the reverse is also true. Land that Israel has turned into agriculturally rich and self-sustaining land; land that Israel has turned into money-making tourist destination; land that Israel has turned into economically booming land; that land, when turned over to Israel’s enemies in the hopes of shalom become barren once again. But it becomes worse than when Israel possessed it as it is not only barren, but filled with the ruins of a previously highly successful society, all the while housing large numbers of people who are absolutely incapable of sustaining themselves, but are only intent on eliminating Israel and Jewry from the face of the world map.

When Israel gained control of the Gaza Strip in a self-defense war to keep herself from being wiped off the map, the Gaza Strip was a barren desert that could not, at all, sustain life. Israel made it “a land flowing with milk and honey.” When Israel turned it over to the Palestinian terrorists in the hopes of shalom, the Palestinian terrorists who had no desire at all for shalom not only destroyed the land’s ability to sustain the people but also turned it into a terrorist haven from which to further its hate-filled goals to kill all Jews and to destroy Israel.

Israel pumps hundreds of millions of gallons of the life-blood of all peoples — fresh water — into lands that don’t have that life-blood, lands that want nothing less than for Israel to cease to exist and for all Jews to be eradicated, in the hopes for shalom. Israel is prosperous because of her people’s blood and sweat. Israel is an agricultural behemoth because of her people’s blood and sweat. Israel is a massive exporter of fresh water because of her people’s blood and sweat. Israel is in existence today despite the gargantuan odds against her because of her people’s blood and sweat. And all of this also because Providence will not let those who curse Israel — His Chosen People — succeed.

Israel, a land roughly the size of New Jersey, has succeeded against all human and Satanic odds against her, yet she only wants shalom. She has given up massive chunks of land for shalom. She has given up the Golan Heights for shalom. (The Golan Heights are Israel’s Sudetenland (see: Hitler and Czechoslovakia).) But all the nations surrounding Israel, all the Communist nations, all the Liberals in the US, especially Barack Obama and the absolute nutball Ron Paul, are arrayed against Israel. They have absolutely no desire for shalom in Israel. They want Israel dead.
